"Absolutely useless," you smiled playfully, "I told you that we wouldn't even help. We rather die than tell."
The side of his cheek turned prominent, tongue pressing on the flesh in annoyance. As lips held a tight frown. Either sad nor worry. Clearly displeased at how far he has gotten out of you.
"Kai, I give up. You try." Jungkook yelled out in frustration, kicking his shoe against a filled up trash can besides him. Not bothering to spare a glimpse at you before he departures to another room.
Silence quickly poured into the room, your eyes lifted up to see the orange-hair female walk in but kept your head down. Her compelling aura doesn't dare you to send her a cold glare, in this situation of course. Being locked up by tight cold cuffs around yours wrists, completely behind you.
"Poor Jungkook, he can't even handle you. I've never seen him so frustrated towards someone." Kai revealed, taking slow steps towards you. Voice filled in a mocking tone, directed to Jungkook or even you.
"It's eye widening that he didn't beat you for the answers. Man nor women doesn't get out of his torture if he didn't get what he wants." She continued on, pushing herself up on a counter besides you. Clear brown eyes that stared off, out the window where dim street lights flickered to shed light on the dark streets of night.
"As if you have changed him." She turned to face you, eyes roaming on your face. As if in search of something from you. Any reaction.
In which, you indeed have. Your lips parted in confusion, an eyebrow tugged upward in suggestion to what she had said.
Usually you a highly skeptical of what criminals say, especially with her type of aura. But the other part of you believes her, something in her that slightly convinces you that she is telling you the truth. Perhaps, Jungkook used to be a vile person. But you doubt it. Highly.
"Either way, we still need your help. If Jungkook didn't tell you in the correct form." She chuckled, swaying her feet.
"With your help, and the others. We could possibly make life better. No more suffering because of idiotic ranks. No more families being poor."
"This system is toxic. And if you're the good detective, you'd help to stop more deaths and suffering. So why are you stalling?" Kai questions, leaning further against the wall behind her. "Is the system that horrible that it made yo-"
"I'm lost! Alright!" You yell, attempting to bury your face against your knees, not wanting to confront what you think.
A dreary sigh came from you side, accompanied by the sound of a cloth rubbing against stone before footsteps seemed to fade. The sound of heels hitting the old concrete floor becoming hushed.
Leaving you to consider the few 'wise' words of a criminal, or so called psycho.
I was planning to make this longer but I felt that I should of left it there. Should I make chapters longer?
