"Come on! This only happens once in a lifetime"
"I don't want to."
"Please Trisha, for me."
"OK then, for you Ellie"
I really didn't want to go not even for Ellie not for anyone. Just thinking about going made me feel sick, but now I agreed on it I had to do it.
"What should I wear?" I tried to fake a smile.
"I'm so glad you asked me." Ellie started walking towards her closet so she could find me something for the party.
Inside I wanted to cry and I almost did but I realised I couldn't tell Ellie why I was crying.
"I think you could fit in this dress, what do you think?" Ellie held a dress infront of her it was beautiful, the top was black and pretty simple and the skirt was white with black flowers on it. Maybe this party wasn't going to be that bad.
"I can try it on."
I went to the bathroom with the dress so I could change clothes. My brown hair was a mess so I needed to shower before the party. The dress fit perfectly and for once I felt kinda happy.
"Does it fit?" I heard Ellie through the door.
I went out from the bathroom.
"It looks great on you, and by the way it's too small for me so you can have it."
"Thanks Ellie! I love it, but I need to go home now so I can shower. See you later!"
I didn't live that far from Ellie only five minutes but it felt like forever and I guess it was because I didn't want to go to that stupid party. Finally I saw my grey house. I didn't know why but everytime I walked in it felt like I had a stone in my chest and it didn't feel like home nothing did, I hated it. The stone came back as I opened the door.
"Where have you been sweetie?" it was my mom.
"Just at Ellie's house." I realised that if I asked if I could go to the party and got a no I had a reason not to go.
"Mom can I go to a party with Ellie tonight?"
"Of course you can, where is it?"
"I don't know." I tried to make my mom change her mind.
"Well you can go if you come home before midnight"
"Thanks Mom" I sighed why would my mom just let me go to a party, why couldn't she be like a normal mom and not let me go. I went up to my bathroom and took a shower. My
"Why?" I asked to no one.
"Why, do I feel lonely when I have friends, when I have a family, when I'm happy?"
I was ready to go to the party or at least on the outside the inside is another story.
"Hi Ellie!"
"Hi Trisha! Ready to party?" You could see Ellie's happiness miles away so I didn't want to ruin it.
"I guess I am." I could feel my eyes tear up."Is something wrong you look like you want to cry."
"I'm fine" I choked on my own words, soon my attempts on keeping the tears in failed.
"I can see that you're crying, so yes there's something wrong."
"Nothing you would care about!"
"Just tell me, I'm your best friend."
"I'm starting to think you're not." I said it under my breath.
"Trisha what did you say?" I felt like she already knew but I didn't care.
"I said shall we keep walking?"
"No you didn't!" I could hear she was getting mad.
"You heard what I said!"Instead of sadness I now felt anger too, I was tired of keeping all of my feelings inside.
"No I didn't!"
"Then what makes you think you know what I said?"
"I heard something."
"You want the truth? OK then, you don't know me." Finally the truth I've been wanting to tell her was out.
"What do you mean? We've known each other for forever."
"I've known you forever." I corrected her. "You never knew me or at least the real me. You've never asked me anything, never checked in on how I was feeling." The tears poured down my cheeks now, I couldn't stop them. I turned around and run back home. I could here Ellie scream my name but I don't care anymore, I travell as far as my legs can carry me. Everything around me is blurry because of the tears in my eyes.
