At 6:30 my alarm went off for school. I was already awake so I got up and headed for the shower.

I got out and put on jeans and an Under Armor sweatshirt.

I threw on converse and headed up the stairs by 7:10.

"Hey princess." Hayes said as I walked into the kitchen.

I nodded, too tired for conversation.

"Whoa you look like shit." Cameron said.

"Wow. Thanks Cam. Real uplifter aren't you?" I scoffed.

"No I mean you look tired." Cam muttered.

"Well I didn't sleep." I snapped.

"Why's that?" Taylor said walking into the kitchen.

I stayed silent. Still not wanting to tell anyone.

"What happened?" Taylor asked, staring, knowing I was holding back.

I took out my phone and handed it to Taylor.

"MATT!" taylor screamed instantly.

after a minute a sleepy Matt walked in.

"What is so important that you needed to yell?" matt snapped.

Taylor handed him the phone and Matt read it.

" I'll kill them." He said, "Carson you're staying home."

"no," I protested, " then she thinks she wins. its a war Matt. and now I'm a target god damn it. it will be a cold day in hell when I let them win."

Cam, Nash, Carter, Hayes, Taylor and Matt all stared at me.

"Okay. then I'll go to school with you. Matt can watch out at the house, make some calls. Come on Hayes, I'll give you a ride." Taylor said.

Cam came along and me and Hayes slid in the back seat.

We arrived at school and met up with Aaron, Shawn, and Jack J.

" Hey I heard what happen. you okay?" Shawn asked pulling me into a hug.

"Yeah. I'm good." I smiled.

We sat on the front steps in our usual spot before class. Five minutes into talking familiar cars pulled In the parking lot and Taylor and Cam stood up instantly and walked to the black car I knew was Brians. Hayes Shawn Jack and Aaron followed.

Tyla jumped out the passenger seat and the boys reached the car.

I ran over to them, making sure to stay behind Taylor Cam and Jack.

"You. You're the fucking cunt that threatened my little sister." Cam said through clenched teeth.

"Awe. See there fighting your battles still, Little Espinosa? How sweet." Tyla sneered.

"get the fuck out of her face Dallas and caniff." Brian yelled but I was already on my way to the front.

"looks whose having backup now." I spat before I punched Tyla in the jaw. she dropped to the floor and Brian came after me but Max held him back and Taylor pushed me behind him.

"Stop. she's not worth it. Wait until its time." Max said.

"Whatever. you'll pay for this Espinosa." Brian yelled as he helped tyla up. Taylor grabbed my hand and we walked to class.

"That was badass Carson." Taylor said before kissing my cheek and heading to class.

The boys all hugged me and me, Shawn, and Hayes headed to first period government. On time. as always.
