Chapter 2 - Final

Rosé's POV

I received Lisa's text a minute ago. My heart is panicking, it felt like it wants to pop out of my chest.

"Damn, she knows it. What am I going to do?" I kept pacing back and forth inside the classroom. I was facing the blackboard thinking deeply while biting my fingernails when the door opened.

I turned around and my jaw dropped. "Why is she here?" I said in my mind. "H-hey, where's Lisa?" Jennie stood in the doorway and is catching her breathe.

"S-she.. L-Lisa. Wait. Gimme a second." her hands was on her knees and she kept on making that cute tired expression.

Jennie walked towards me after while I stepped backwards. I felt my back hit the blackboard and she stopped a few meters away from me.

"Those are from you.." she said. "Lisa already told me."

I was nervous and I wanted to run away from here. "What? You shouldn't even be here."

A knock on the door caught our attention. It was Lisa.

"So fellas, I'll wait here. Take your time. Woman up, Rosé." my bestfriend winked at me and closed the door.

I hurried to the door and twisted the doorknob. It seems kind of stucked from the outside. "Lisa! Opened this!" I yelled.

"No. Tell her everything first. This is your chance." I heard her said from the outside.

I looked back at Jennie who's looking back at me too. The pounding of my heart intensifies and I could feel my cheeks blushing. It suddenly feels hot in the room and that day flashes back.

A week ago

Lisa visited me in my house at around 2 o'clock pm on a Saturday. We went out to buy some foods like barbeque, tteokbokki and a few chips. First, we talked about our projects and eventually ended up chatting about our teachers, classmates and of course Jennie. I have known Lisa for quite a long time now and I know Jennie's her type of girl but I never asked her about it. We were almost done eating when she brought her up.

"So about Jennie.." Lisa smiled.

I know what's going to happen next, she's going to say she likes her.

"Do you like her?" she asked.

That was totally not what I expected to hear. I could hear my heart beating faster than it ever did. "Should I lie?" I thought.

"What?" I asked. 

"Don't think about denying it. I can read you and how the way you act when she's near." she teased and tickled me on my side.

"Okay. Lisa oh my gosh, stop it." I said while laughing.

"Spill it."

"I admire her but not in love with her it's just a crush nothing more than that she's just so cute and pretty and kind and adorable. I'm not going to make a move on her, okay." 

"Woah. Woah. Calm down, girl. Relax.. I was just asking." she said and laughed.

I breathed deeply and smiled at her. "I finally said it. I let it all out." I took another bite on my tteokbokki. "Lisa, I want to talk to her and get closer to her."

"Then talk to her. She's kind."

"You know I can't. I might run away and hide from embarassment if I do that." I explained.

"Hmm, let's see." I saw her tilted her head up a little and her eyes move from side to side as if the answer is on the ceiling.

I started to think about any idea too and something crossed my mind. "Aha! How about we use papers? We're going to make paper airplanes and look for ways to give it to her surreptitiously. Before we fold it, we will cut a paper into a heart shaped, write a message, fold it in half and put it inside the larger paper which is what will be the airplane."

"Oh okay, that's a good one. Pal, you have the looks and the personality to get all those girls. Let those papers fly. You just need to drop that shy persona." Lisa complimented.

"I'm not a play girl like you." I teased.

"Ouch, that hurt." she placed her hands on her left chest and acted like someone shot her.

"But, Lisa. I think I can't do it. You gotta help me with the plan and um you like her too, right?" I finally asked the question that has been itching me.

"Okay, okay I'll give it to her." she patted my shoulder twice. "And she's my type, you know that I'm sure. But this is the first time I've seen you so happy and that alone makes me happier. Anyway, there's Jisoo." Lisa smirked.

I laughed and threw a chip at her.

"Hey, Rosie. I said Lisa told me you gave all those papers." Jennie waves her hand in my face and here I am facing the reality.

"Okay. This is my chance. I have to say it. I have to tell her." I said in my mind.

"Yes, it was me. I gave all those. Lisa helped me. I like you Jennie and I just wanted to talk to you and get closer to you. I'm sorry because I didn't have the courage to confess. I'm sorry I wasn't like Lisa. I hope it's okay, I hope.." 

"Ssshh stop. It's okay. I understand." Jennie smiled at me and squeezed my arm a little.

That was enough for me to feel a little calmer. I could still feel the heat rising to my face with that sudden gesture.

"You don't need to be like Lisa or like anyone just show who you really are, I'd love that. I'll see you around, Rosie." she winked at me before knocking on the door. "Lisa, you can open it now."

Jennie looked back at me once again before leaving.

"Why'd you do that?!?! I was a mess." I yelled at my bestfriend.

"Nah.. you did well. Don't be so worried. Just express what you feel." Lisa wrapped her arm around my shoulder. "Rosé Park, you are so lucky.. Jennie Kim huh." she led me outside and we went home.

Jennie's POV

I was in my locker getting my Math book when a paper airplane lands on my feet. I took it and took out the paper heart "Your smile that is as bright as the sunshine melts me." I looked at the direction where it came from and my smile disappeared when I saw Lisa. But she stepped aside and I saw Rosie smiling and blushing.

Rosie approached me and stood beside me with her hands behind her back. "Good morning, Jennie. I got you this. I-I heard it's your favorite and um maybe you haven't eaten your breakfast. Please accept it." she then handed me a chocolate chip cookie box which made me so happy.

I accepted it. "Oh, thank you! I love this so much. C'mon let's eat it in the cafeteria together." I held her hand and I could feel how nervous she was.

"You're so cute. I like you." I heard her whispered and I held her hand tighter.

Lisa and Jisoo were there in the cafeteria watching their bestfriends chatting and eating happily.

"Let's go out." Lisa said.

"What did you say?" she eyed her like if she's suspecting.

"None. I said let's go get ourselves food." she lied.

Jisoo started leaving and looked again at her. "I thought we're gonna get some food? Come on." Lisa followed.

* This was originally planned to be a oneshot story only but then I thought my ideas for this would be better for two chapters instead.
