Imagine dating a vampire and them becoming frantically worried when you become sick, they've witnessed the fragility of humans, how a small cough can quickly turn into hundreds dead, then having to reassure them it's only a cold, you'll be ok soon.
They stay beside you your entire illness, getting anything you say you need, hovering around as you sleep, checking your pulse and labored breaths,
They swear not to loose you so soon, so painfully, a quiet promise to turn you if the healing does not show soon. Whether convincing you to bite them, or slipping blood into your next bowl of soup, they cannot loose you.
