Chapt. 3 Her Sunshine

Luke's P.O.V

I woke up for work, ate breakfast, then did all my hygiene. I got dressed in a dirty pic jumper with black skinny jeans. I looked out the window and saw Alex already on her way. We have been friends for a month now. I really like her and i think she likes me too. I just dont know how to tell her. We are like bestfriends. I looked in the mirror one more time, then i rushed out the door.

"Hey dandelion," i smiled.

"Hi sunshine," she hugged me.

"Fucking Kelly told my mom we egged her shitty car, grounded for a month."

"Ugh she's such a bitch." She replied in a sarcastic voice.

"Hey you're on my side."

"Or am I?" she laughed as i started to chase her. She's so beautiful in every single way. I wish I wasnt such a little bitch and told her how I felt. She ran into Big Als and we both greeted him.

"Bad news guys," he frowned. "Theres a new food mart being built down the street, a lot bigger than this old place. We're going to go out of business in a month I bet."

"Nah, dont think like that. Nobody butchers meat as good as you old man, you're the best." Alex tried to cheer him up. So i chimed in.

"Yeah only idiots would go there."

Al smiled a little fake smile then senr us off to work. He ran out the store to go pick up an order of meat. This was the perfect time to ask Alex on a date.

"So uh, Alex?" I said scratching the back of my head.

"Yeah sunshine?" she replied smiling. I bit my lip ring nervously.

"Well uh, wanna get something to eat after work? Like at the park?"

"Like a picnic?" she asked.

"Yeah, yeah exactly!" I said.

"Sure, sounds like fun." She replied casually.

"Really?"

"Yeah why not? I've been kind of lonely lately anyway." I smiled and she did too. This date will be one of my best.

After work i rushed home to get ready. I took like a 45 minutes shower and changed my clothes into sweat pants and a soccer shirt. We were meeting at the park at 5 and it was 4:30 . By the time i got there it was 4:45. I like to be early. She didnt get there until 5:03.

"Hey sunshine." she said approaching me. I looked up midway smiling until I saw who was behind her. Beau and Jai.

"Hey Alex. And brother of mines who i had no idea were coming." I said still smiling.

"Oh, they caught me on my way here. And asked if they could tag along. Is that okay? I brought extra food!" she said shaking the basket. I nodded in agreement then we started to eat. We talked about soccer and food and about school starting up in 2 months. Then Alex had to go use the toliet. When she walked away i decided then to scream at my brothers.

"Why the hell do you two come? You know how much I like her and you knew that this was a date."

"We were hungry." harmless Jai said.

"Yeah and we didnt know it was a date. I dont even think she knows." Beau added. I thought about that for a sec.

"Yeah well today was the day i was going to finally tell her how I feel." I finally said. They looked really sorry. So i apologized for getting so angry. They both volunteered to leave but i told them no. Of course they left anyway. Alex returned and asked where the boys were.

"They had to get home." I said. She looked confused then just nodded. "Look Alex, I have something to tell you."

"Okay, spit it out."

"Well we have been friends for about a month now, and I really like you. Not like as a friend but like like. Like as a girlfriend? I dont know I caught feelings for you." she smiled. All she did was fucking smile. I loved it.

" I've been waiting sooo long to hear that Luke." she replied. I smiled really hard. Then just sat there. I wanted to kiss her but i just couldnt. So i just smiled at her. Like a crazy person.
