The New Girl

Chapter one: “Summer”

            We were all staring at the clock, like it would make it move any faster. It was five minutes before the bell would ring and it would be summer!! I felt like I was in that Disney movie where they whispered, “summer, summer, summer” then broke out in song. Those movies are so unreal. Really, like how is the whole school suppose to know the whole song and routine.

            “RINGGGGGGGG”, the bell screeched, snapping me out of my daydream. Finally it was summer, no more classes, waking up early, and no more homework. I was normally the last one out the door, but not today. I was already and packed up before the bell even rang. Once the bell went off I got up and pushed the door open, I sat in the front of the class so it was easy to be the first one out. I didn’t have to go threw a crowd of people to get to the door. Once I was out the door, I was waiting in my normal place for my friends so I can say my goodbyes (it was no big deal I was going to see them most of my summer)

Hello, hanging out with friends and spending time with him. He was all I thought about 24/7. I would sit in class thinking about him and get the butterflies. He had finally asked me out a week before school ended. I was looking forward to hanging out with him all the time. Going on dates with him and goofing off on walks, or where ever we go! I couldn’t wait to see him again. I can just picture it now, Him bringing me to the movies and dinner, then we take a ride in his car. He brings me to the most romantic place I can think of, the beach at sunset. Walking along the water holding hands, then we stop and stare into each other’s eyes and he leans in and kisses me.

I can just feel it now; the wind blowing and the faint smell of the salty see water, the misty spray from the waves crashing. BAMMM!!! I was snapped out of my daydream about my perfect date, it turns out I was walking while daydreaming and I walked right into a pole. Next thing I knew I was on the ground surrounded by people staring at me. I heard a few people chuckling at me, the I herd someone say,“ Chris are you okay.” My eyes were barley open, my vision was blurry, I sat up so I can see what the hell was going on. I saw someone wearing a blue T-shirt make his way threw the crowd to help me up. I still couldn’t tell who it was, until he said, “ Chris are you okay? What happened?” That’s when I knew it was Josh, I was so embarrassed, my boyfriend just saw me run into a pole!!

“ Chris, are you okay? “ he pulled me up off the ground as he asked me.

“ Yes, I am fine?” I said with a smile on my face, but I don’t think he noticed it because my head was down from embarrassment!!

“What happened? You seemed like you knew where you were going then BAM! You ran into the pole”

“ I am very aware of what happened Josh! And I don’t know what happened, one moment I was running out of class to come talk to you and friends, then next thing I knew I was on the ground! I guess I was daydreaming.” I tried to speak without crying of embarrassment! I was so embarrassed I didn’t know what to do, all I could think of was how he watched me run into a pole and almost pass out!! I looked up and I saw him smiling at me, I stared into his stunning Green hazel eyes. When you look into his ravishing green eyes you can see passion and kindness in him. The best part is, his eyes turn colors, when he is out in the sun his eyes are bright green, and when its cloudy or he is inside they are a grayish hazily green color that shows how loving he can be.

            “ Chris, Are you sure you are okay?” he examined her with a funny look on his face.

             “ Yeah I am fine, I just got lost in your eyes for a minute there!” I smiled at him hoping he didn’t think I was weird.

            He gave me a warming smile back. Thank god he didn’t think I was weird.

After just staring at each other for like five minutes we walked to his car. Normally he walks me to my bus but he offered me a ride home today. For some reason I didn’t mind that I was driving home with him. He has never seen my house. I wanted to ask him if he wanted to come over and hang out, but I was scared. Have you ever tried to talk to someone that you really really like, but all you end up doing in is sitting there with your open mouth looking like an idiot.

            He looked at me funny; I closed my mouth and didn’t say anything. I didn’t ask him to come over because it was a school day and I wasn’t ready for him to meet my parents yet. I was still nervous around him and him meeting my parents would be a nightmare. I lived far from the school, 40 minutes to be exact. I felt bad making him drive me all the way there but he said he didn’t mind. For most of the car ride we didn’t talk we just sat there listening to music. That was my favorite thing to do; it was also Josh’s favorite thing too. We both love the same type of music: Rock, Nickelback, and a little hip-hop. The Song Lullaby by Nickelback came on and we both started singing it. We looked at each other and just laughed.

            I always had a good time with him. Wither its just sitting in class next to him, holding hands under the table, or sitting at lunch laughing at each other. The other part of the car ride was talking about our classes and how ridiculous some of they are. Our Spanish teacher Screams at us so we can learn it, not to mention she has a sign above her desk that says most likely to end up in an insane institution. We had a long conversation about her.

            We were laughing at her insanity, when we pulled up to my house. He pulled into my driveway and walked me to my door; I gave him a hug goodbye. This hug was special; better then all of the other hugs. He didn’t let go he held my waist and just stared into my eyes. I got lost in his eyes again I can’t help it but to just stare into them. That’s when he leaned in a kissed me.
