The Whole Truth

The snow white kitten licked the cold body on the floor. After the failed attempt of trying to wake her, the kitten scurries off. There is someone sitting in the corner watching the man, who owns the house, inventively. She stays quiet so he doesn’t see her at first, her eyes stay on him as he puts his things down.  He calls out to his girlfriend, the woman smiles and answers in her best voice.
“Honey, I’ve missed you so much, come into the bedroom.” The man felt a shiver of excitement run through him as he went to the room. It was pitch black, the only source of light was from the lamp posts outside. “Where are you Hun?” he asked in a confused manner, she doesn’t answer. She waits for him to start searching as she is still sitting in the corner silently.
The body still lay in front of her, she called out to him, as if playing a game of Marco polo. He turns on the light in the bedroom and sees her in the corner chair. At first he was happy, then he realized something was wrong. “How in the hell did you get in here, what did you do to Marsha?” he yelled at her, she frowned,” what do you mean my love, it’s me Marsha, I’m right here.” He shakes his head and runs out of the room towards his phone. She furiously runs after him, tripping over the kitten and hitting the floor hard. He dials for the police but no one is going to be there for another thirty minutes, perks of living on the outskirts of town. He curses more and runs around the house looking for things to keep him safe with.
He’s locked her in the closet, tied in ropes and any other restraint he could find. He is sitting on his bed, watching the closet intensely. After thirty minutes has passed, a patrol car shows up and he gives his statement, showing them everything and opening the closet to where she was. He turns pale and swears she was in there, all the ropes and such are scattered on the ground, she is completely gone.
He was arrested instead and she was never seen again.
