Chapter 1

Lyndsey's POV

My dad just got transferred to California for his job as a Doctor. My mother stayed back in New Jersey with My brother so he can finish middle school. I decided to just go with my father and finish my last year in high school here since I didn't like my school anyway. I'm a dancer and I can sing a little, I'm kinda sad I had to leave my old dance academy in NJ but I'm pretty sure I can find one that suits me here. At the moment I just got finished packing and I'm headed to walk around the beach. I just want to get out of the house and do something. I walked out the door and headed down the sidewalk. You can see the beach from my house but it's still a fairly long walk. About 10mins there from my house. I got to the sand as I slipped off my vans and held them as I walked along the water line. I felt the sand slip through my toes. Then a sharp pain grew on the bottom of my foot. I looked down and saw I stepped on a jelly fish. Shit. I hobbled to the life guard stand thing,

"Do you have any advice about how to take care of this?" I said giggling at my clumsiness and showing the boy my foot. He looked at it then up at me. DAMNNN he is hot! His brown hair toned body and sweet smile! He looked around my age so that was a plus!

"Yeah! Here you go," he said handing me some creamy white stuff. "rub it on the sting and make sure to not put to much direct pressure on it" he said smiling and standing up. He was tall! around 6ft. He grabbed my waist as I struggled to keep my balance while putting on the creamy stuff.

"Thank you. My name is Lyndsey by the way!" I laughed as I looked up at him.

"Anytime, And call me Shawn. If you need anything call me and I'll be there okay?" he said grinning. I know what he is doing. He wants my number. Smart boy.

"I don't have your number?" I said taking out my phone. I opened it and went to the contacts and handed it to him.

"there you go!" he said handing it back. He put his contact in as 'Shawn😍💦', . I giggled and he handed me his. I put my contact in as 'Lyndsey❤️💁'

"I better get going my dad is probably worried. Thank you for everything!" I said handing his phone back.

"Wait one minute and I'll help you to your house!" he said running over to the other lifeguard and then running back to me. He slid on his Shirt and grabbed his bag and shoes.

"Let's go! Did you walk here?" he asked

"Yeah. It's about a 10minute walk." I said as we headed toward my house.

"Me too!" Shawn said excitedly

We reached my door.

"I can't believe we are neighbors. And thank you again Shawn. We should hang out some time?" I said sorta hoping he would agree.

"I know! and your welcome. What are you doing tomorrow?" he asked.

"Nothing I'm pretty sure?" I said sort of like a question.

"I'm off tomorrow so I was wondering if you would like to go gets some lunch or something?" he said with his hand on the back of his neck. Turn on!!

"Sure! 1pm?" I said.

"I'll see you then. Goodbye Lyndsey! I hope your foot heals!" Shawn laughed as he embraced me in a unexpected hug. I hugged back.

"goodbye shawn!" I said as I walked into my house. I shut the door then slid my back down it. This boy is perfect!

A/N

I know Shawn lives in Canada and is not 19 but he will be in this story. Lyndsey is a 18yr old tiny brunette around 5'5. Her and shawn are both about to finish high school together. Will they end up together? Read to find out!
