Once There was a tree, The smallest tree no man had ever seen.

The Tree though was always alone.

"If only," Said the Tree,"If only I had legs, I would be able to leave and meet others!"

On that day a force unknown to the Tree spoke to it.

"My dear Tree, you do not like being alone?"

The Tree, terrified yet excited, answered, "Yes, I wish to go and see what else there is in this beautiful land."

The Force spoke to him again, "If I gave you not just legs, but arms, head, and eyes, would you then be happy?"

The Tree was quiet for a moment before Responding, "Yes."

Just like the voice promised, the Tree soon took a shape of a small boy form, but the Tree's oaky skin was still on him, his hair made of leaves, and his eyes never have shone so bright as the sun.

The Tree smiled in joy and shouted with glee, "Thank you -" He waited and pondered, "What is your name?" He asked.

The mysterious Force said, "Call me Kaze, As the one with the air."

The Tree Smiled at the sky, "What should I be called?"

There was a pause, and then Kaze answer, "Hikari No Ki, or Ki for short."

Ki smiled and nodded then pondered once more, "What does that mean?"

"It means ' Tree of Light. ' " Said Kaze.

Ki was so happy to finally have a name, he always wondered what a name would feel on him. He ran around, giggling and laughing, That was when a blind girl heard him.

The blind girl followed his voice and spoke softly to him, "Excuse me?"

Ki stopped and looked around until he saw her, she was the most beautiful thing he had seen. Not the golden, glistening sun or even the emerald shade of grass could be compared to the girl's beauty. One could even say he was starstruck.

"I'm Ki, What's your name?"

The girl smiled and held her hand out straight, "I'm Hana."

Ki didn't know why the girl was putting her hand out but he touched it as the girl giggled, "What's the matter, have you never shook a hand before?"

Ki nodded and took her hand slowly, then shook it gently.

The girl smiled and Ki notice her eyes were covered with bandages, "What happened to your eyes?"

"Oh, " The girl said, feeling the bandages covering them, "I had an accident in which made me blind..."

Ki Felt sorry for Hana, If only he could help her.

Ki looked up at the sky and whispered, "Kaze could I do something for Hana?"

There was a pause and Kaze answered, "There is one way, but heed this Warning: If you truly want to help her, you must be willing to go far, even if it might kill you. Do you understand?"

Ki never heard this side of Kaze but he answered.

"Yes."

"Then go to where the sun touches the mountains at rising and where it sets, where one small creek flows upwards instead of downwards. Where the tree sways the other direction than the breeze. There you can help the girl."
