This is just a test chapter to see how people feel about the story

—————————————

Excitement rushed through my body as I read the letter in my hands. I had, at long last, been accepted into a college. True that it wasn't any of the ones I had applied for and it certainly wasn't one I had ever heard of. Not that that mattered, I had been starting to stress about my lack of acceptance letters. Shaking my head, I glanced at the pile of letters beside me.
"We are sorry to inform you..."
"Regretfully we have to...."
'None of that matters anymore Hannah' I told myself as I held the letter up in front of my face. I had finally been accepted into a college.
I read the name stated at the top of the letter once again.

======================================

I looked through my closet throwing all of the clothes I wanted to take with me into various boxes each of which was labelled with the contents. I smiled softly as I got to the last item in the closet. I held the ruby dress close to my body and grinned at myself in the full length mirror on the wall.
"You look just like your mother Ma'am."
I turned round to greet the voice and smiled softly.
"Thank you Taylor. She gave me this dress before she..." My voice trailed off and he placed a gentle hand onto my shoulder.
"I know Miss..I remember seeing her wearing it herself when she was your age. Her hair fell just as yours does and her eyes sparkled like the deepest sapphires. She called you her little emerald... I remember her smile when you would dance around in her dresses even though they were too big for you..." My eyes started to fill with tears at the memories of my mother. Taylor had raised me ever since my mother passed away. My father had passed away not long before I was born, or so I was told. Part of me always believed he was still there. It was like I could feel his presence but could never see him.
"They would be so proud of you Hannah." Taylor's voice broke my train of thought as he picked up the last few boxes to be taken to the car. I took one last look into the mirror and wiped the tears away from my eyes. I had a college to get to.

===== 2 hours Later =====

We pulled up to the college and my mouth fell open at the sight. The college was inside a huge castle. I could feel myself beginning to shake but much to my surprise Taylor's hand rested onto my leg before gently squeezing it making me turn my attention to him instead.
"You're going to do wonderfully, you shouldn't worry about anything."
I smiled at his comment before turning back towards the window. He was right, I shouldn't worry but I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to go horribly wrong at this school. After a few minutes, we arrived outside the building that said "Fire House" on a archway. The dorm building.

Taylor helped me to carry my boxes into my room and then took my hands in his.
"Hannah, look at me for a second please," I glanced up at him. "You may find out some new things about yourself while you're here. Some of these things may sound crazy and you may not believe them but I am just a call away if you need to talk to me about any of it. Okay?" I nodded in response and he smiled, I smiled too even though my thoughts were going absolutely insane trying to figure out what he could of possibly meant by that. What could I find out about myself that I did already know?
