( TBS #1 ) THE BILLIONAIRE LOVE

CHAPTER 3*

Lucas POV:

I groaned as alarm went off, and sat on the bed leaning my head on headboard of the bed. I hissed as my head was throbbing due to drinks I had yesterday. I had alcohol for the first time in five years. I was a very bad drinker and used to drink allot but with Liam's and Leon's help I had stopped drinking. I used to drink during that time to forget the incident in which I almost lost my life. But that time I lost something that was precious to me more than my life. During that time I had promised someone that I will never allow any girl in my life. My phone beeped indicating message but I ignored it. After sometime I went to washroom in search of medicine which may cure my headache.

After that I had shower and got ready for office. I went out of the my room while checking my today's schedule I had meeting in half an hour so I left for my office without having breakfast or coffee. I know I'm CEO of my company but I don't like to be late. I started my car and drive to our company.

As I reach HARRINGTON Enterprises. I felt pride as I was the CEO of the company. My dad went through lots of struggle to build this empire and for us to have a good life. Thinking of dad brought me to think of the bomb that he had dropped yesterday in form of arranged marriage.

"Arranged marriage with some girl dad has chosen for me." My inner soul was telling me to try for it but my mind was too stubborn and kept reminding me the promise I had made to someone special.

I quickly threw that thought out of my mind. As I was passing by my employees they greeted me and I gave them nod. I am not that cool, talkative type of guy. I used to be that kind of guy always smiling, having parties and vacation but everything changed. Now that kind of behavior is of Leon. I enter the private elevator which is only used by Harrington's. As I reached my floor which is topmost floor of the building. I saw blonde girl sitting on chair which belongs to my secretary. I got angry thinking how dare any girl can come in my office and sit at the place which doesn't not belong to them. I stood there for few minutes watching her engrossed in her mobile. I walked towards her desk angrily and shout at her

"Who are you and what are you doing at my secretary's desk."

The girl jumps from her sit and looks at me and open her mouth but no words came from her mouth. Our eyes met and I saw her eyes which were chocolate brown in color and her face was beautiful. She had no makeup and was very simple. We were staring at each other without breaking our eye contact. She has same color of eyes and her face is exactly like...........

Our moment was broken by Ms. Hills as she came through hallway. Seeing her I was brought back to reality and I asked Ms. Hills angrily

"Ms Hills, who is this girl and what is she doing at your desk. And who allowed her to enter our company."

As I was saying or you can say shouting at my secretary my eyes were trained at blonde girl standing in front of me. She was looking very scared now and you could see tears filling in her eyes.

Ms Hills says "Oh! Lucas maybe you must have forgotten. Yesterday there were interviews conducted and as you told me to find a perfect candidate for job I find her perfect for the job."

Hearing that I calmed myself down by taking deep breath. I gave her a nod and look at girl who was still looking down at floor as if that was the best thing in the world. She looked simple and elegant. After Ms. Hills cleared her throat and the girl's head snapped back at her. After realizing who I was she introduced herself moving her hand forward for handshake and her hands very shaking badly.

"Hello s... sir, myself... Bell I mean Isabella Rose. Thank you for accepting me in your company and I will try to give 100% for the benefits of the company."

I shook her shaking hand and introduced myself

"Hello Ms Rose and I am Lucas Harrington, CEO of this company. Welcome to Harrington Enterprises. And I hope you don't disappoint us." I told her sharply yet calmly.

She replied "Y... Yes sir"

As soon as our hands touched I felt a sudden electrical current pass throughout my body. I was shocked and seeing her expressions I thought she might have felt the same. Again our eyes got connected and we stare at each other, her eyes have warmness and calmness in them. Seeing them I don't know why but I feel calm and compose as if all my stress got release.

Ms. Hills also told me that she would train Ms. Rose till her retirement day and she had kept Ms. Rose resume on my desk. I gave a nod and left for my cabin giving a last look at Ms. Rose who was looking at me and as soon as our eyes met she directed her eyes elsewhere and then looked down. I smiled a bit thinking of her flustered face.

I sat down at my chair and saw a resume of Ms. Rose which was kept on the table. Picking up her resume, I had a quick go through it. She had no transferrable work experience, but her grades were at the top of her class. I scanned through an article she co-written with one of her professors. She was very good at her work but I don't know why I was having some strange feeling in my heart by seeing her angelic face. I hadn't had that kind of feeling for years.

I was impressed by her and glad that Ms. Hills selected her. Also I don't know why but I was feeling happy about it. I just hoped that she worked efficiently like Ms. Hills. I was busy for the day till the lunch break I had attended three meetings. I was about to order some lunch for me and that time my mobile rang. I looked at my mobile screen and saw Liam's name. I was about to ignore the call like I had been doing from yesterday's event but I know they care for me so I answered the call and he told me to come to Leon's cabin as mom had sent lunch for us. I agreed and cut the call and got up and left for Leon's cabin.

As I was walking toward lift I saw Leon's secretary and Liam's assistant manager with Ms. Rose. They were talking to her about taking a lunch break. I cleared my throat and they all looked up. Ms. Rose was confused and was looking cute. I don't know what happen but I told her to take a break in fact I ordered her to do so. By the look on her face I can tell she was confused but the other girls elbowed her and she nodded hastily. I turned around left but was thinking what was happening to me. Also I was having a feeling of someone staring at me but I just smiled as I knew who that was.

There may be grammatical mistake as this my first attempt to write the story.
