"Sofia,...Sofia, wake up. Come on, we have to keep moving", I repeatedly moved her right arm slowly.
She moaned for a few times that she still wanted to sleep some more until she told herself that they needed to get out fast. This happened just yesterday.
We were at the northern frigid land of ice in the northern part of Aetherria. We were there because we were trekking the mountains to find the possessed snow ape that lived deep inside the mountain ranges. Our team arrived just three days ago, first day being our arrival from the area where the snow pile appeared then the second day was our hiking time to the peak to a mountain's peak to observe the surroundings from down below. Our team consisted of me, Sofia, Ysa, Lexter and Jules. Even though we had Jules at our side, we couldn't just make a hole underneath and drill up to the mountain. This also meant that making such a noise would make an avalanche so massive that we would die from it when we did.
The third day was when we went down that specific mountain then we got ambushed by the snow ape. Apparently, we underestimated it's powers from a dumb animal. Who knew that a dumb beast could become both savage and tactical at the same time. Being possessed by the darkness has it's own feats after all and intelligence and strength were one of those.
The snow ape suddenly made an uproar that caused, well, an avalanche wherein most of us died. Since Sofia was closest to me, I grabbed her hand then I punctured a hole underneath us through the ice and then we fell down to this long cavern before the avalanche reached us. I couldn't think of Ysa and Jules' safety first since I knew Ysa would've just made a small portal in her hat that would move them a few feet away. She loves that hat of hers, though. Just saying....
And know, we've been walking in this cavern for about a day now. Sofia, to me, doesn't look too well because the cold was getting to her. Even if she was a fire elemental, she needs to overcome the extreme temperatures when she trains enough. She's still beginning after all.
And what did I mean about beginning? Well, just yesterday before she went to sleep, she told me her past. It seemed that she was bored and she didn't mind telling her her past story before she became one of us.
