It was around lunch time, when the boys were eating together at one of the tables. Craig sat there, using a plastic white fork to poke at his gross school food with his usual resting-bitch-face expression. Clyde on the other hand, joyfully took a bite out of his burger, not really thinking or caring what it could possibly be made out of. Releasing an agitated sigh, the raven haired boy just decided to eat something, not really for him, but just for his stomach so he didn't have to go all day with an empty gut. Clyde, being mindful to Craig's bummed out state, decided to strike up conversation once again, "What's up, Craig?" He asked after swallowing down his food and giving the other boy a light nudge on the arm.

(Craig's POV)
After lost in thought, I was suddenly drawn to the attention of Clyde by his small action. "Ah, w-what?.." I replied in a lazy tone, not quite catching what the brunette had said to me. Clyde had arched an eyebrow and snickered a little, giving me a smirk right after, "I said, what's up ! What's goin' on? Wuz poppin', yo?" God, that was cringey.. I hope to not hear that ever again, but I can't just leave him hanging, "Uh.. Nothing. I'm good." I answered dishonestly, not really sure about how I feel right now. I noticed Clyde's smirk trail away from his face. Was I not convincing enough?.. Shit.

(Clyde's POV)
My suspicion for Craig grew immensely from the way he spoke to me. Sure, he's always kind of sounded like a dick, but today he just seemed more quiet and even alienated maybe. I really did respect his private problems however, and I didn't want to get involved unless he wanted me to. I really wanted him to be happy ! Pondering for a moment, I quickly came up with an idea that hopefully my freckle-faced-friend would fancy, "Say, Craig ! Wanna hang today? We can do whatever you'd like !" By 'whatever you'd like', I was hoping in the back of my mind that Craig didn't think of literally anything. I was kinda scared he'd take it to extreme and beat the shit out of me maybe. But whatever ! If that's what it takes for Craig's happiness then I was willing to get my teeth knocked out I suppose.

(Craig's POV)
Now I was really questioning why Clyde was being to nice to me. Does he think I'm sad or something? Is he trying to cheer me up? I'm not exactly sad though.. Just.. Never mind. I honestly had nothing better to do after school, and I really needed to get away from all the drama at my house. So, evidently, I accepted his offer. I saw how elated he became by this. Was he that eager to make me happy? Or did he just genuinely want to hang out with me?.. I shrugged it off and moderately turned over to Clyde, responding to him with a soft smile. Man.. That dumb smile of his made him look so cute.. Wait- what was I thinking??...
