When I saw your eyes scan my body in that blue dress, it took me back
I wore it in high school too, and my friend told me he liked it
It's been bugging me to know what you think
Today I sat inbetween you and your best friend at the table
You were both eating fruit and I had to tell myself to shut up before I came out with something inappropriate
So I sat rigidly in silence and you tried to include me in conversation
I can't get the image out of my head
When you came in late and sat down beside me with your brown eyes so molten and warm in the sunlight
And today when you were making faces at me behind our tutor as she rambled on about rubbish
I wondered if the rest of the group thought I laughed way too loudly
But I just hope it made you happy
Like when I did the exact same thing last week and you had to cover your face so she wouldn't see
It's like we're kids
Our eyes lock and frantically flicker away
