What does that mean?

“ What do you mean she’s slipping Mi.” Piper asked.

They didn’t answer.

“CHAOS.” Ace yelled. “You rung.” The primordial said as he suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

“What did you tell PJ.” Darren growled. “I just made sure that she was….aware of her powers and surroundings.” Chaos said as if he was trying to find the right words. “What did you tell her.” Darren repeated. “Well I gave a sorta disclaimer about her powers.” Chaos said slowly.

“What kind of disclaimer did you give exactly.” Tiara said narrowing her eyes. “Wel-” Chaos was cut off by a glow and then PJ was standing there with a new sword. “Hey guys what’s happening.” PJ said with a huge smile.

No one said anything as we dog piled her with hugs.

“Really guys this can’t keep happening. I'm gonna have a damaged lung by the time I’m 25.” PJ jokes.

We all got off her. “PENNY TIDE JACKSON IF YOU EVER SCARE US LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN WE WILL SEND YOU BACK TO HADES.” They all yelled while glaring daggers that made all the seven, nico, and calypso shrink in fear even though we weren’t there target.

Thank Zeus we weren’t. I’ve already been on that side and it’s not fun. Sorry getting off track. Stupid ADHD.

“Well dang sorry i just needed to clear my head preferably cutting some monsters in half. That reminds me, I don’t think y'all have to worry about monster attacks in the woods for a while.” PJ said.

“Yo PJ what happened to Typhoon?” Erin asked. “What do you mean” PJ asked. “ It looks...different.” Erin said while trying to get a better look at it.

“It saids Παλιρροϊκό κύμα.” Willy said.

Tidal wave.

“But i thought it was named Typhoon?” Leo asked. “Long story.” PJ said.

“Well you know what story I want to hear.” TJ asked. Penny shook her head. “No what.” She asked. “I want to hear the story of why you were acting so weird earlier.” TJ exclaimed while cornering my dear sister.

“Ohhh walked into that didn’t I.” PJ joked as the rest of her friends narrowed their eyes at her. “Ok Ok fine i’ll tell you calm down.” PJ said with her hands up.

“Well you see-” She was interrupted by the couch horn.

“Well would you look at that it’s dinner time we should probably get going race ya.”  With that penny vapor travel out. “ I hate it when she does that.” Ace said.

“Come on it’s time for dinner we’ll corner her at the campfire. But now I’m kinda hungry.” Jason said. There were some grumbles of agreements as we walked to the pavillion.

We split up to our tables. I plopped down in front of PJ and thought of Blue burgers and blue fries with Blue coke. I looked at penny to see she was already eating.

I was about to ask about offering but she beat me to it. “I already burned a offering to dad.” PJ said not even looking up. “Oh, ok.” Was all I said.

I got up and went to burn my offering. I sat back down and digged into my food. “So what’s going on with you.” I said trying to start up a conversation. “Nothing new.” She answered nochantly.

I beg to differ.

“Oh” Was my smart response. “He um i think imma head in. I'm really tired from today.” PJ said as she got up. “Ok, goodnight sis.” I said. She gave me a small smile. “Night bro.” She said and walked back to our cabin.

I watched her walked back until she was no longer in sight. I’m worried about her, she seems off.

Just when I got my sister back, she was already slipping away again. After we were done with dinner we went to the campfire and i met up with the others.

“Where is PJ.” E asked. “She turned in early, said she was tired.” I answered.

“Dang it she escaped.” Tera hissed. “How could you let her go Percy.” Mi said exasperated. “Sorry I didn’t want to push her and a lot has happened today. I just wanted her to get some rest.” I said. Ace sighed “ He’s right a lot has happen and the only way will even get PJ out her bed to talk to us is if she gets some sleep.” He said.

There were huffs of fine’s and I guess thrown around in agreement. Chiron walked up and stomped his hoffed down to get everyone’s attention.

“Heroes me and Mr.D decided tomorrow will be a free day. You’ll be able to do any activities. If you wish to you can sleep in. It’s your day to do as you please as the romans are coming to visit.” Chiron said.

Everyone was screaming in joy and the campfire shot up 50 ft. I was happy myself. I can finally sleep in until noon. Plus the romans are coming. Frank, Hazel and Renay left earlier today to get the rest of the romans and now there coming back tomorrow . We all went back to our cabins to head to sleep. When I got to my cabin I looked over at penny’s bunk and saw her wide awake staring at the ceiling.

“How was the campfire.” She asked. “Um good we have a free day tomorrow and the romans are coming to visit.” I said. She nodded her head still not breaking contact with the ceiling.

We soon fell into a neutral silence. It wasn’t uncomfortable but it wasn’t comfortable either. “You know you're the favorite child between both our parents.” PJ said breaking the silence.

“What.” I asked not fully understanding what she was saying.

She turned to me. “Your the favorite child. Dad favors you more than me. When ever i trained he would always tell me ‘your almost as great as your brother percy’. He would talk about you constantly, sometimes even comparing us. It’s actually funny when you think about it. All this time I’ve been living the ‘perfect’ life on olympus when honestly it was just a prison to keep and eye on me. I know dad doesn’t say it but he fears me if there was a choice between me or his kingdom, I’d be gone in a instant.” PJ said with a small chuckle.

But not the humorance kind.

“What about mom.” I asked. “Oh well mom showed who she loved more the day after i was born.” PJ said with a sad smile.

“What do you mean.” I really feel like a clueless idiot right now. “The day after I was born you and me gave off to much a sent. So to keep us both safe dad had mom make a decision on who she would keep and who would have to face the gods. Dad gave her 3 days to chose but she didn’t need it. She chose me to go and you to stay in under a hours time.” PJ said with a blank face.

I was in shock.

My mom chose me. My dad brags about me to my younger sister. I’m surprised she doesn't hate my guts!

“Plus their proud of all the incredible things you've done while all I've done is disappoint and disapprove. Yeah sure I got friends and powers. But you have the approval of our parents. I’m pretty sure i will never get that. I may be the favorite daughter but your the favorite child percy.” PJ finished then turned on her side and went to sleep.

I was shocked into silence.

I can’t believe this.

All this time i’ve envied the life she’s had when in honesty my life was more of paradise to her.

I need to talk with my mom first thing tomorrow. After that I went to sleep with my sister’s blank face and words in my mind.
