I was originally going to make the cover art of the story and this one a single picture but..... it didn't fit. Oh well.

'Well the world is a cruel place after all' a 14 year old Jeonghan thought to himself. He had just moved to Seoul where his grandma lived after an accident. That accident was the very one that burnt his house down and took his family with it.

*Flashback*

"Be careful. Be back for dinner!" Jeonghan's mom yelled as he went ran out of the house. He was going to his friend's house a few blocks away. He grabbed his bike and hopped on, peddling as fast as he could. He only had an hour to hang out with his friend before dinner time.

After the hour was up he hugged his friend goodbye and hopped back on his bike. When he finally got around the corner where his house was. He screeched to a stop and looked in horror at the side in front of him. His eyes welled up with tears when he scanned the burning building and all of the emergency vehicles in front of the burning remains of what was his family home. He hopped off his bike and ran the remaining distance toward the blocked driveway.

"Kid! Stay back! It's dangerous!" a firefighter yelled.

"I'm not a kid! LET ME GO! My family is in there!" he screamed at the top of his lungs.

"Okay, okay. Calm down. Look at me, look here." he repeated it until Jeonghan finally looked at him. "What's your name?"

"Jeonghan. Yoon Jeonghan," he choked out as tears finally slipped down his face.

"Hey, Jeonghan. My name is Kanghyun. Okay? I need you to stay calm."

Jeonghan nodded and relaxed in the man's grip. "My family." He said in between sobs.

Kanghyun only nodded and said,"Yes, we're trying Jeonghan. How old are you?"

Jeonghan stayed quiet for a moment trying to stop crying before answering."Tomorrow is my fourteenth birthday." Basically he ended up spending his birthday in the hospital with his little sister, she was only nine, before she passed away. His parents didn't make it out. He vowed that no one in his life could come this close to him, he would see to it that he never loved again so this couldn't reoccur.

*End Flashback*

He now stood staring at the outside of a mansion he hadn't seen since he was ten and his family had had a falling out with each other. His father was their only son and now they didn't have a person to run their company. It was obvious that Jeonghan's life was going to change, he was moving from the suburbs of Hwaseong to the outskirts of a bustling Seoul. He had to change schools (after just starting high school a few months prior) and had to adjust to what he liked to call it the "snooty rich person" life.

__________

By his second week of high school at the new rich kid school, Pledis Academy (A/N yeah....I went there...), he had been outcast by everyone but a few boys. Their names were Jisoo, or Joshua whichever, who was here studying abroad from America and had also just gotten to this school, Seungkwan, Seokmin, Hoshi, Hansol, and Mingyu. Everyone besides Jisoo and Jeonghan had been best friends since as far back as kindergarten. They were loud and rowdy, but they made Jeonghan feel excepted and a bit more normal for a few hours a day. And honestly, Jeonghan would take as much normalcy as he could get right about now.

You know what's a good idea. You have a lot of homework, a project due in a week that you haven't started on, and three Youtube videos a week but let's start a fanfic that I don't know if I'll even finish. Good plan.
