Jellybean || Verkwan

-workday-

It's 6am and Vernon arrives to his workplace at a convenience store. Vernon promised to Mingyu that he'd come to work at 5.30am to clean the floors and prepare for the day.

Shit I'm late.

Vernon opens the door and walks in. Mingyus store hasn't been open for long and Mingyu was new in the business, but he dreams of opening many stores in Korea. He hired Vernon because he needed money, and stability in his life until he figures out his life and what he wants to do in the future. Vernon isn't planing on working in the store for too long. He doesn't really care for his job but at least he is earning some money to make a living.

Vernon likes early mornings at the store because he can have the store all to himself for an hour. He usually blasts music from the speakers and practices his dancing while he waits for the pastries to bake in the oven.

Suddenly he hears a nock on the door window.

Huh..? Seungkwan mumbles to himself seeing that his appointment has been canceled. Wednesday's are the best because he gets to have an appointment with his therapist Joshua. Every Wednesday at 6.30am Seungkwan has an appointment with him, but today he had left a note to his office door for Seungkwan. He was sick. The note was really apologetic because he knows how important their little talks are for Seungkwan.

Damn it Joshua! I drove all the way here you should've just called and canceled.

Seungkwan walks off the building whining to himself and he looks around. He wants some breakfast. It was an absolutely beautiful morning and the sunrise had painted the whole sky pink. He walks down couple  blocks and sees a convenience store that he has never seen before.
He walks towards the store and notices a boy dancing inside. He could almost hear the music from the other side of the street. He looks at the brown-haired boy pouring all of his energy in his dancing. He was amazing. Seungkwan almost hypnotized stears at the boy before he knocks on the door window.

Vernon jumps a bit and turns around and notices a blond smiling boy looking at him. He runs to the door embarrassed and openes the door for the boy.

"Hello! Are you open?"The boy said smiling.

Vernon couldn't hear the boy because the music was still blasting. Vernon runs behind the counter and turns the music down. He jogs back to the boy embarrassed.

"Yes! We are open!" Vernon said not wanting to turn the boy away.

Seungkwan walks in and looks around.

"This must be a pretty new store." Seungkwan says looking around the store.
"Yeah, we opened few months ago we are really new" vernon says his cheeks still red from what happened a moment ago.

Seungkwan nods politely and smiles to the boy before he goes between the aisle to grab his things. Soon he returns to the boy now standing behind the counter. He puts his items down and Vernon starts ringing his items.

He's so handsome. Seungkwan say something!

"You dance really well!!" Seungkwan spits out.
"Thank you" Vernon says cheeks burning.

"Oh wait Seungkwan runs back and grabs a small bag of jellybeans and puts them with the items.

Oh he likes jellybeans too

Seungkwan sits down on the table infront of the store and starts to eat his breakfast.

~Vernons POV~

I look at the boy sitting down and looking at the pink sky out of the window. He was gorgeous. His hair looked fluffy and smooth and His skin was clear and pale. He had the most squishiest cheeks I've ever seen. I secretly watch him stuff his face with a toast. The store is still actually closed but how could've I told a boy with that smile not to come in.

I walk towards the tables and start wiping them.

"Is this your store?" The boy asks politely.

"Oh no it's not. I just work here while I figure out my life" I say looking at the boy.

The boys eyes are fixed on my name tag that was pinned to my green work shirt. Soon his eyes meet with mine again.

"Vernon. I've never heard that name before." The boy says curiously.

I smile at the boy not knowing what to answer.

"My name is Seungkwan!" The boy tells confidently.
"Hello Seungkwan" I say staring at him with a big smile on my face.

I watch as he sips the last of his strawberry milk. I gaze at his hands as he wipes the corners of his mouth.

His hands are beautiful.

Seungkwan gets up from the table and starts walking towards the door.

"It was nice meeting you Vernon" Seungkwan yells smirking from the door and walks out.

Why does he make my heart flutter?

Soon after Seungkwan left Mingyu comes to work. "Vernon!! Why isn't the store open yet?" I see an angry man walking towards me. "Oh god what's the clock" I check the clock and it's 7.15am already. Where did the time go?

It was a pretty busy day at the store today. We had tons of customers during lunch time and after kids got out of school. Someone also dropped a glass beer bottle on the drink aisle and I had to clean that up. The whole day I was just thinking about the blond haired boy Seungkwan who had breakfast here. I wonder if he lives nearby?

So this was my first chapter I've ever written! Hope I get to improve in the future.
