It's weird how a person who meant everything to you can end up being a nobody to you. It's weird how things change because of situations. How a love so pure could be ruined.
It's painful how he can't bring himself to look at her anymore. She was someone who meant everything to him. A day without talking to each other seemed impossible. The bond they shared was beautiful.
It was painful how she wasn't the reason for his smile anymore and how she still fell for it after all this time. How it still managed to give her butterflies in her stomach. His little things meant a lot to her. Everything about him seemed beautiful.
The way he laughed when she was mad at him. The way he looked at her even when she wasn't looking. The way he knew she loved him no matter what. The way he stroked her cheeks when he saw her jealous face when someone else tried to get his attention.
The sound of his voice when he said her name always made her feel a warmth. Now it all seems like a long time ago.
Things weren't the same anymore. He acted like he didn't care. But she could read his eyes better than anybody could. There was still so much love they had for each other but it doesn't seem to matter anymore.
She still laughs and smiles all the time and he thinks she's happy without him. If he knew how she felt he wouldn't think so. She wished he knew how much she loved him. She wished he knew how sorry she was about everything and how desperately she wanted him back. But he'll never know.
Maybe life would take them to different ways but someday they'll cross each other's minds and they'll remember how much they loved and how it wasn't enough.
