Chapter 4

Serene's POV

Cole, Kai, Jay, Zane and Nya started covering the vehicles, while Lloyd wouldn't let me out of his sight.

"I'm so glad your back," he said.

"I'm glad I'm back too." I smiled.

"We should be able to lay low here for a while," said Cole. Nya handed Lloyd and I a new ninja suit.

"These will scramble any aerial drones signal that pass overhead." she said.

"They shouldn't be able to find us." said Kai.

Lloyd and I nodded. We both did spinjitsu and changed into our new suits.

"Lloyd?" I heard a voice say.

Lloyd turned around. "Mom?"

She hugged him and smiled.

"What are you all doing here?" asked Misako.

"The Overlord's back and he has help from the new evil Andrew. They've taken over New Ninjago City." replied Lloyd. He then looked away. "They have Sensie Wu."

"Wu's tough there's a reason he's lived as long as he has." replied Misako.

"Where's dad?" asked Lloyd.

"Yea where's Lord Garmadon?" asked Kai.

I was so confused. I wasn't in Ninjago long enough to ever meet Lloyd's parents.

"Serene?" a hand waved in my face.

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Nya.

"Don't worry we will fill you in." she said. I smiled. "Thanks."

We turned back to the group.

"Come in, but your weapons are not allowed. Ever since Lloyd defeated his father he's sworn and oath to never fight." said Misako.

"But we were supposed to protect these with our lives," said Kai as each of them pulled out their techno blades.

"And never let them out of our sight!" said Jay.

"You guys go ahead. I will stay and watch over them." said Zane.

"Aw thanks Zane!" said Jay.

"Yea your the best." said Cole.

They handed Zane their techno blades and we all followed Misako inside.

I looked around and examined the scenery, when I felt a hand grasp mine. I turned to see Lloyd smiling at me.

He pulled towards the front where his mom was.

"Mom, I have someone I want you to meet." he said.

Misako looked at me and smiled.

"This is Serene. She is the water ninja and Council's student." stated Lloyd.

"It's very nice to meet you, Serene. I am Misako." she said.

"It's nice to meet you too." I said.

(Time skip cause I am lazy)

(Still Serene's POV)

We sat in a large room waiting for Sensie Garmadon, Lloyd's father according to Nya and Misako. The others looked towards the door and gasped. There was a shadow with four arms, but when the door opened a man stepped to the side to reveal an older man, who I assumed was Sensie Garmadon.

"Ah my son, so glad you could join us." he said.

"Hey it's been a while father," replied Lloyd.

Sensie Garmadon looked at me.

"You must be Serene. My brother has told me many things about you." he smiled.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." I said softly.

"The pleasure is all mine, Council's student."

I smiled a little.

"Check out the new Sensie! Looking sharp," I heard Jay whisper to Cole.

"Silence!" yelled Sensie Garmadon as he whacked Jay on the head with his staff.

"Ow!" whined Jay.

Lloyd and I snickered a little but stopped when we earned a glare from his dad.

"Close your mouth and open your ears." he said as he walked away from us towards a table. "Tonight's lesson is the art of the silent fist. To fight without fighting."

He turned back around and faced us.

"May I have a volunteer?" he asked.

I looked at the others then back at Sensie.

"How bout me?" offered Lloyd as he got up.

"The ultimate battle round two!" said Nya.

I was so confused at this point. What did they mean round two? I thought about using my sound waves to look through Lloyd's memories but that would most likely make him angry at me.

"Attack me, but please no powers. I happen to like my monastery." said Sensie.

He earned some laughs from his students. Lloyd charged him, but Sensie moved out of his way making Lloyd hit his back on the table and fall to the ground.

"You see. The key is balance. Let your opponent fight himself." stated Sensie.

Lloyd charged him again. This time he tried landing a kick or a punch but every time Sensie Garmadon dodged it without breaking a sweat. Lloyd landed on his back. I could tell he was getting frustrated which would probably lead to bad things.

"Let the enemy tire himself." he continued.

Lloyd jumped back up and then jumped at his father. His father yawned then moved out of his way making Lloyd fly straight into a wooden mast next to me and the others.

"OOO!!" I heard the others moan.

"Pupils, I give you the most powerful ninja in all the land. The golden ninja."

His students started laughing.

"Ah!" moaned Kai and Cole.

"Lloyd," moaned Jay.

The others face palmed, while I looked at him.

Lloyd jumped up and started to form a green ball of energy.

"Easy son, it's only a lesson." stated his father.

The ball vanished. "Sorry I don't know what got into me." said Lloyd.

"You let the anger take over. I know that feeling well. Now let's divide into groups."

Kai went with Jay, Cole with Nya, and Lloyd with me.

Lloyd's POV

"I'll try not to hurt you." I said. Serene laughed a little.

"Bring it blondie." said Serene.

I charged her but she dodged my every move. It was like she knew what I was gonna do before I did it.

"How is this possible?" I asked.

"Hello we are linked through our sound waves. Your mind is telling me what you are gonna do." she laughed.

"Oh."

Everyone stopped training when we heard a girl scream come from outside.

Me: cliffhanger. This chapter took forever today.

Lloyd: reminder author does not own us or Ninjago rebooted.

Serene: she owns me, Andrew, council, and slash

Jay: slash will come back later on in the book

Kai: that's all for now

Cole: next chapter won't be up for a day or so
