aria's pov:

"mom, please stop crying it's just for the summer aunt laurie is gonna take great care of us. I'll call you every night and dad please don't freak out it's not like I'm running away to get married or anything."

"honey, I know but you're getting on a flight all by yourself it's the first time you won't be with your mother & I. besides what am I supposed to do all summer, I'm really going to miss going to the fair on Fridays with my little girl." dad says.

"okay dad, first of all I'm not 10 anymore, I'm going to be 18 next month. I'll be moving out by college. second of all you have jamie to take to the fair, she loves it! & lastly I'm not going to be "by myself" I'll have bailey with me."

"yeah don't remind me, well just be careful okay?"

"dad, just because you & mom don't get along with her parents doesn't mean you should have anything against bailey, okay? I love you."

"I love you mom!"

"I say my last goodbyes to my sister & climb into my white rubicon jeep & head drive over to bailey's to pick her up."

bailey is my best friend, we do everything together. we've been friends since diapers. our parents used to be best friends. noticed the words 'used to be' yeah, they got in a big fight & don't speak anymore. it was hard for bailey & I at first but we got through it.

as soon as I get there bailey is outside with her parents saying goodbye. I walk up to help her with her bags & say hello.

"hi mr & mrs johnson! how are you all today?" I ask.

"we're *sniffles* doing okay honey." mrs. Johnson says.

"mom! please stop crying." bailey sighs.

"bye dad, I love you! bye mom, I'll call you when we land."

"c'mon bailey! the flight leaves in an two hours!" I scream from the car.

"I'm coming aria! calm down, damn"

"hey we're still at your house I can put your bags back" I say as I laugh

"oh my gosh, I love you just drive."
