I Knew You Would Come (swan queen)

The Beginning

"Henry listen, I really shouldn't be with you right now. Your mom would flip." Emma said nervously as Henry pulled her into Granny's by the wrist. "Don't worry Emma, you're my mom too you know." With that Emma recanted and let the little booger have his time with her. They sat down and ordered two strawberry waffles each with extra syrup. Even though it was almost 5:00, it's still they're favorite dish. "So what's new kid?" the blonde asks as she takes a sip of her Coke. "Nothing much, but living with the Evil Queen isn't really easy." "Hey!" she says as she slams her Coke on the table "That is still your mother and she has done so much for you, way more than what I could've done. You need to respect her a little more, got it?" She didn't really know why she reacted like that. And now she was looking right into Henry's eyes making sure he was listening. "Yes ma'am" After Henry's slip up in front of his birth mom they didn't really talk much. Ruby actually came over to check if everything was okay because they were so quiet. "Hey how's it going guys?" she asks with a big smile "Oh hey Ruby!" Henry's eyes lit up. "We're good Ruby, anything new with you?" "Nah not really. Been pretty boring around here. You guys should stop by more often." Emma was giving Henry an iffy look. "Yeah you know I would but I don't want to step on Regina's toes any more than I have too." She looks back at Henry giving puppy dog eyes, "but then again, I could always talk to her." Henry punches the air and does half of what looks like a victory dance "Alright! Thats what I'm talking about!" Ruby says as she gives Emma the check "See you guys soon I guess!" "Yeah bye Ruby!" Henry calls behind as he follows his mother out. They walk to Emma's clunky old car and hop in. "Hey Emma.." he asks with wide eyes "Yeah kid?" She responds as she starts her car and begins to drive. "Do you think that I could call you mom too?" All of a sudden the car comes to a complete stop. She turns to the boy speechless. The only thought in her head was that she's not mother material. That's the main reason why she gave Henry up, she wasn't capable of providing a good lifestyle for him and she knew that. But now that they're both older, she can't help but to wonder what it would be like if they had a real relationship. All of those thoughts vanished when she thought about Regina though. The blonde knew that the scary queen would ruin her life if she even considered the offer. But at the same time, Emma liked the thought of being a mom with Regina. She didn't exactly know why again, but it was just one of those feelings that you can't really explain "EMMA!" Henry exclaimed from the passenger seat "What, what? Why are you yelling?" She didn't even realize that she had been sitting there for 10 minutes. "I've been calling you for like 10 minutes! So is that a yes" "I don't really know Henry. I'll think about it though okay?" disappointed the young boy agreed "okay." After they had come to an agreement, Emma started on her way to Regina's house again.
