"i call cuddling next to daddy!" soonyoung raced to the bedroom door, sticking his tongue out at a whining seokmin.
"no fair!" seokmin stomped his foot, a pout reaching his lips and his eyes watering. "you already had your turn!" jihoon furrowed his brows. seokmin was sensitive, but not this sensitive. both littles had went a few days without jihoon before, seokmin had been just fine. in fact, he had been ecstatic. his words had been, "uncle cheolie gives sooooo much presents!" for jihoon had let seungcheol babysit them while he went to his hometown.
"seokmin, dont yell at soonyoung. soonyoung, dont tease seokmin and no running in the house." jihoon said sternly before ushering seokmin into the bedroom where soonyoung disappeared to.
jihoon had often laid at the edge of the bed when the littles had nap time, for he would leave to finish composing songs or other errands.
soonyoung snuggled his head into jihoons chest as he asked, "can you read us a story?" jihoon smiled softly.
"of course, soonyoung." he reached over the edge of the bed to grab the two littles favorite story, land before time. "alright," jihoon shifted so he and soonyoung werent as uncomfortable. he flipped to the first page. "once upon a time..."

"...the end." jihoon closed the book quietly, placing it down on the bedside table. he was able to wrench himself out of soonyoungs grip. the boy was a heavy sleeper. as jihoon was about to turn around to get out of bed, he heard a small voice whisper.
"daddy?" seokmin laid quietly on the edge of the bed, his hair a mess and his eyes staring up at his boyfriend. jihoon twisted back to face seokmin, his hand resting on soonyoungs waist.
"yes, seokmin?" seokmin didnt answer. his eyes were unmoving from jihoons as they began to water. jihoon didnt catch it though. seokmin had hid his face under the covers. jihoon sighed. he knew something was wrong, he just didnt know what it was. jihoon stood from the bed before lightly nudging soonyoung to the side. he plopped inbetween the two of his boyfriends and under the covers, so he could be next to seokmin.
seokmin stayed idle, even though his caregiver had gone through the work to just talk to him. "seokmin, is something wrong?" seokmin closed his eyes, the pools of tears slowly rushing down. he didnt mean to cry, he knew that jihoon didnt like when he or soonyoung would cry, but he was just so sad.
jihoon gently pulled off the covers from seokmins face when he heard the quiet sniffles. seokmins nose had turned red as he bit his lips to keep in the sobs. jihoons eyes softened at his littles tear stained cheeks and quiet cries. he rose a hand to wipe the tears and snot from seokmins face. "whats wrong, love?"
seokmin blubbered. "s-saw stuffs 'bout hoonie a-and soonie and-and-" the boy hiccupped as a sob passed his lips. jihoon smiled encouragingly.
"its ok, buba. use your words." seokmin had slipped into a younger space. it didnt really help seokmin convey his feelings, but he would have to just go with it.
"s-said hoonie and s-soonie leave minnie for-forever." jihoons face had dimmed. ever since the group had come out about being in relationships with each other, it had upsides, but definitely a lot of downsides. people would confuse the relationships as jokes, ask stupid or inappropriate questions, and most annoyingly, hate comments.
it had been mentioned by their loving fandom that the boys should ignore the hate comments, but seokmin never listened. he was one of the more sensitive ones in the group too.
"baby, dont listen to those idiots. they dont know anything. soonie and i love you so much and you know that. dont ever let those comments tell you overwise." jihoon slipped closer to seokmin, caressing the youngers cheek.
seokmin hiccupped once again, leaning into jihoons touch. "so-sorry, hoonie." jihoons hand traveled to seokmins soft locks.
"its ok, baby. its not your fault." jihoon hummed the familiar tune of smile flower, lulling his little to sleep. seokmins sniffles and hiccups hushed to deep breaths of exhaustion and sleep. jihoon felt his eyes flutter close as well. i guess work can wait for another day...
