It had been 6 months since humanity fought its greatest battle. As a result of the valiant efforts and sacrifices of the thousands of men and women that died in the line of battle, Humanity survived and flourished into a happy race.
Eren Jaeger, a former soldier, widely recognised as Humanity's hero for his impressive achievements during the war. He received a friendly gift from the townsfolk on a daily basis, from baked goods to sacks of money. He was grateful of their appreciation he wasn't satisfied. Not because of the amount of gifts he received but it was something else. He lacked emotion.
Many women fell in love with the hero and did everything in their power to be with him but were unsuccessful. The single brunette, didn't feel a genuine connection with any member of the opposite sex. This upset him as he wanted to love and cherish someone and have someone who would reciprocate those feelings.
Despite his many admirers and gifts, Eren led a quiet life, in a small house in an isolated rural area. He worked as a carpenter and earned a relatively good pay. He preferred that he worked for his money rather than accept it from others.
Whenever he had free time he would gaze at the skies longing for happiness. He wanted someone to share his life with. Someone to love
This was the simple life of Humanity's hero.
