Annie remembered where she was when the bomb went off. The bomb wasn't what killed her. She was shot by a Hydra agent on the way to get Coulson. She was the first official casualty of the battle of New York. Coulson was the second.
She woke up a few days later in a hospital. It was a S.H.E.I.L.D hospital. Her head ached and she was seeing strange things. Things couldn't describe. Things she never saw before.
Annie called out for a nurse when she stopped seeing things. She was greeted by her best friend instead.
"Are you ok?" Bruce Banner asked as he sat beside her.
"What happened to me?" Annie asked him. "What about Loki?"
"They won't say what happened to you, but Thor did take Loki back to Asgard." He reassured Annie.
"I died." Annie whispered. "I was shot."
"How are you alive now then?" Bruce was not sure.
"I'm not sure. I remember dying." Annie looked in to his eyes as she said it. "You do believe me right?"
Bruce loved Annie more then anything. Even if what she was saying wasn't true he would have believed her.
"I believe you." Bruce told her as the nurses came to take her back to surgery.
The surgery was suppose to make her forget her death.
