Avni Pareikh:-

A simple girl who seems lively to the world, but she is breaking inside. She is hurt but never hopeless; alone but never lonely. Her eyes reflects pain but she is smart enough to hide it with a smile. She is courageous and strong enough to bear all the grief herself but she never dares to share it with anyone because she's scared, someone close to her might betray and tear her apart all over again. She wants to be loved, she wants someone to tell her that she is the one. She hopes someone will walk into her life someday and will tell her why it never worked out with someone else. Little does she know that the "someone" she hopes for is the one who broke her.

Neil Khanna:-

He is annoying. He is not even perfect. He makes everyone yell. He drives everyone crazy. But deep inside, he is breaking apart. Though he seems happy from outside, only he knows how guilty and how pained he is. He wants to move on, but his past and his guilt bounds him to keep loving 'someone' who is far away from him. Technically, he is single, but his heart is taken by someone he can't have. He is not depressed, he still smiles at jokes. But whenever he is alone, he feels the pieces of his heart piercing in his flesh. He misses someone who doesn't exist 'for' him.

I was lying on my bed with my phone on full blast. The curtains were drawn and the doors were locked. The empty tub of my favorite ice cream lied on the floor. Smudged with make up, my fingertips were stained from wiping away the mascara and eye liner stained tears. Our last conversation played in my head. I was sure I couldn't get him back.

###

I rested on the edge of my bed, the doors locked. My room was pitch black due to the absence of light. My blood flowed from the wall probably because I punched it earlier. My headphones were about to burst from how loud the music was. No one could hear my sobs or see my messy state. I replayed our last conversation, thinking that she'll never take me back.

"We have to do this" I mumbled, biting into my lower lip.

"Will it work out?" He asked, his cheeks warm.

"I don't know, but this is what the time needs." A lone tear escaped my eye.

"Remember one thing Neil. I may not be able to accept you as my..." He interrupted, "I know, I will never force you. Promise me, if you'll find a person whom you would love, you'll go to him. This will never bound you to me."

I looked into his eyes, hoping to find love in them.

He stared back at me, wishing that I would hold his hand.
