Selene looked down at her daughter sleeping in her lap, the silver hair the child had inherited from her mother had trailed down to the floor.

Selene sighed, she wasn't even close to being ready to let her only child go. She feared the harsh things down there in the world will taint her, her motherly instinct kicked in almost making it impossible for her to even think about letting her child go down to the cruel world.

"Sweet heart you know we have to let her go" So lost in thought she had completely forgotten the love of her life right next to her, his arms wrapped around them and his unnatural warmth coaxed her.

She looked up at him and sighed, she could never let go of this feeling in her chest whenever she saw him. Whenever she looked at those golden locks of his that bounced every time he moved, the golden eyes that captivated her every time she saw them. She never failed to find something new in her lovers eyes the mischievous glint that was always there or the love that's shone within whenever there was eye contact.

He was everything she could have ever wished for. From his chiselled featured to his hugs, the tight one that feel like he'll never let you go but lastly were his lips, forever and always soft to the touch a rosey pink colour he always gave the best kisses.

"Have you decided yet?"

"Apollo, I don't know it's just to hard"

He stared deep into her eyes and pulled her close.

"Nothing is ever easy my love but you always conquer your hardships. That's just one of the many things I love about you"

Apollo was confused when he heard sniffling he looked at his daughter and she was peacefully resting but his lover however was crying in his chest.

"Selene my sweet don't cry, you've nothing to fear"

"But she's getting older and I've already seen three potentials for her mate but I don't want to let her go!"

"You've seen potentials?!" She nodded in his chest.

"Let me see them" Apollo said lowly. He couldn't help it the fatherly instinct in him couldn't handle her being with a boy.

"Should we let her see them?" Apollo thought for a second then nodded.

"Soleil wake up" the child rubbed her eyes and stretched before looking up at her parents and sporting a smile.

"How are you feeling?"

"Just a little hungry, can we have lunch please" her father frowned and looked at his watch.

"You slept through it"

"Oh can we have dinner then I'm starving?"

"Just hold on for a second, come sit in between us we have something to show you" confused Soleil sat in between her parents.

"Now your mother and I decided that you should know who your mate is" Soleil gasped, she was never allowed to know what a mate was or who in fact.
