Maya looks in the car
Maya - she'd asked me about her father you since she could talk and one day when she was 10 she found some of my stuff from when I was young and that stuff was from being with Josh and she found it and I told her he was her father I thought it would be easier to tell her he was her father then it was a to tell you are her father she'd have a father and I'd forget the pain and we wouldn't be hurt Zay I loved you we were supposed to be together
But the universe had other plans in the works
Zay - I know we were and I loved you too Maya I don't where we go from here but I want to know my daughter Maya
Looking at each other as Hollen wakes up Maya got in the car
Maya - how mad at me are you right now
It's the silence treatment
Maya - OK fair enough
She looks out the window and there he was the man she grew up without all her life she got out of the car walking over to him looks at him
Zay - hi
She folds her arms
Hollen - your my biological father but I can't call you dad now because it'd be a phony lie my mom has been my mom and dad and even though she lied to me about you my whole life my mom is what I know mom I don't know you yet OK
He understood and she's right she didn't know him yet
Zay - I get it I'll be here when you are ready
She nods
Hollen - thanks Zay
They have a long way to go but this is a start in getting to know his daughter
