"Get some sleep lad, big day tomorrow." Eret said as he draped a blanket over Striker. "You sure you don't want to come inside? Much warmer by the fire."

Striker gave a small screech before snuggling down into his pile of hay and closed his eyes. With a shrug, Eret grabbed another blanket from the shelf and draped it over the Skrill. No way he was going to let his dragon catch a cold or get sick from refusing to sleep inside instead of sleeping in the stable, Kari's ghost would surely haunting him!

Once he was sure Eret had gone into his home, Striker slipped out from under the blankets to open the doors of the stable. Outside stood Azure, one of the wild dragons Kari had tamed after her numerous close to death experiences during their war with Dagur and the dragon hunters. She'd been staying with Astrid since Eret was already caring for Striker, but that didn't stop the two of them from sneaking out of their own stables to see each other and sleep in Striker's stable.

<I still can't believe she's really gone.> Azure sniffled as she trotted into the stable, carefully closing door behind her with her tail. <Every morning when I wake up I expect to see her walk in with a basket of fish and a big smile on her face, but I just see Astrid walk in and my heart breaks every time!>

<I know how you feel, it hurts remembering every morning that she's not going to see us anymore when we wake up.> Striker agreed as he curled up under his blanket again, allowing Azure to take the second one Eret draped over him earlier. <And...it's my fault too.>

<Don't say that, you and Toothless were being controlled by that dragon!> Azure assured him and carefully wrapped her tail around him. <Kari wouldn't want you to be blaming yourself, she chose to sacrifice herself to save Hiccup!>

<But it's still not fair! She won't get to grow old with her brother, find someone else to love and have a family with! She didn't deserve this! She deserved better!>

Azure curled herself around Striker as the older dragon sobbed against her side. She knew what he was going through, she knew the pain of losing a loved one. She waited until the Skrill had cried himself to sleep, occasionally sniffling and whimpers escaping from him before Azure decided to head back to her relocated home with Astrid and Stormfly.

<He's still upset, isn't he?> Stormfly asked her as she crept back into their shared stable.

<He is.> She replied with a grim nod. <Both he and Toothless won't stop blaming themselves.>

<Stupid humans like Drago are to blame, if he hand't decided to try and kill them this wouldn't have happened.> Stormfly huffed as she settled herself back down in her bedding.

<If he's alive, I hope Hiccup gets rid of him.> Azure yawned as he settled herself back into her bedding. <No one else deserved to have their life ripped away like that, especially Kari.>
