Everyone was sitting in Samantha's room throwing around different plans for defeating the boss coming up. You were sitting in Richtofen's lap and playing with his hand, making him chuckle. Dempsey was standing, leaning against a wall while Nikolai and Takeo were sitting on opposite sides of the bed.
"Sho zhe plan ish Takeo vill blind zhe monshter, Dempshey und I vill freeze it in place, und Nikolai vill shoot it quickly as ve follow suit," he explained, followed by nods of approval. Richtofen felt his chest constrict painfully and looked out the window. Not again! He quickly excused himself and rushed outside.
You looked at everyone worried. "Is he alright? He's done that ever since we got out of Northern France," you frowned. The other three exchanged looks, Dempsey shaking his head. Everyone knew something you didn't.
The three were getting ready to restrain you to follow Richtofen's wishes, but you ran out the room quickly and out the door. You were determined to find out what was going on. His clothes were neatly folded on one of the crates in the first courtyard and a large beast was right next to it.
Your eyes widened as the beast, which you now realized was a werewolf, slowly circled around you. He sniffed you, his sapphire eyes looking at you calculatingly. Wait...sapphire eyes.
"E-Eddie?" you whispered and bit your lip. The werewolf looked at you and lunged, pulling you tightly into his arms as a runner zombie approached. You tried to pull out your Bowie knife, but the werewolf kicked the zombie and sent it flying away.
The other three had been observing and Richtofen kept you in his arms all night, having realized you are his mate. It made you wonder why Richtofen hadn't told you about this, but perhaps he didn't tell to protect you.
When morning came, Richtofen woke before you and quickly pulled on his clothes as you woke up. You stood up and hugged Richtofen from behind as he put on his vest.
"Why didn't you tell me?" you asked him. Richtofen sighed, turning to hold you close.
"I didn't vant to vorry jou," he explained with a frown. You smiled and pulled him close, kissing him passionately.
After the two of you pulled away, you smile. "You'd never worry me by telling me that," you smiled and kissed his cheek.
