Fall and Winter Chapter 5 Final Chapter

Weiss had discovered her letters from Winter. She read each one carefully. She was sad as she read them. She didn't know what had become of Winter or her baby. Somehow, she had finally received them but there was no mention of when she would be coming home. Weiss was still quite worried about Winter. She had told her about the baby but Weiss didn't know who the father was. After reading the letters, Weiss went downstairs to talk with the others.

Ruby: Weiss, come quick, look! We have a baby! Isn't he the cutest?

Weiss was surprised but seeing the baby made her sad. All she could think of was Winter and her baby. Had Winter had the baby yet? Was she safe? Were they even still alive/

Weiss: Where did he come from? Whose baby is it?

Yang: He is a patient of Dr. Watson's. We don't know who his parents are. He is newborn and no one even knows where his mother is. Something terrible must have happened.

Blake: Well, maybe she didn't survive the delivery. Or maybe she couldn't care for him and sent him here hoping someone would adopt him. She might be planning to come get him but couldn't come now.

Nora: Maybe his father is here and that is why he was brought here.

Ren: Well, he isn't mine. Everyone laughs.

Jaune: Don't look at me! Everyone laughs again.

Weiss still looks very sad. Jaune notices and asks her

Jaune: Weiss, what's the matter? Don't you want to hold the baby? What's wrong?

Weiss: I got some news from Winter.

Jaune: That's great! She's okay right?

Weiss: I don't know. She was but, she was in danger. She was pregnant Jaune, and she left without telling anyone.

Jaune: What? No! Maybe she didn't know before she left.

Weiss: She did. She told me in her letters. I just wish she was here. I'm afraid something terrible has happened.

Just then Qrow returned.

Weiss: Qrow, do you have any news about Winter?

Qrow: Did you get the letters from her?

Weiss: I did. I am so worried. The things she told me... what she said...we have to find her!

Qrow takes Weiss aside: I have some news but it isn't good because I still don't know where she is. Weiss, have you seen the little guy over there?

Weiss: Yes, but...

Qrow: He is Winter's son, premature.

Weiss gasps: Oh, no! Is he ok?

Qrow: The doctor seems to think he will be just fine. Weiss, I think I know where your sister is....

Weiss: You just said you didn't know!

Qrow: Ok, I don't know where she is; I know where she's been and who she was with. She is with my sister.

Weiss: What? Why?

Qrow: That's a long story but for now, all you need to know is that I will do everything I can to bring Winter home safe.

Weiss: Thank you.

Qrow: Come on and see the baby.

Weiss: Does he have a name?

Qrow: No, not yet. What do you think Winter would want to name him?
