Staying Alive

Awakening

"Ohh.. My head... Where am i?" The man said.
He had a concussion and was laying down on the cold hard ground with nothing but trees and bushes around him. He sat up and took a good long look around before he stood up.
He notices how the back of his head started to itch, and has he moved his hand toward the area to itch, he felt a small scar. It was still fresh, so it stung when he touched it. "Ow! What the..?" He looked around once more, taking in his surroundings. "What is this place? How did i get here..?" Suddenly, a robotic voice started to play in his head. *bzzt* "Test subject: 214F58-1 activated. Information on test subject: Male, 22year old. Name: Eric. Previous experience: None. Likelyhood of survival: Minimal. No current sstatus afflictions. Information briefing complete."
Eric looked as confused as he was scared. But before he had a chance to think the voice started again. "Recommended actions to take: Find a source of water and food. Build a shelter. Stay alive."
"Where am i?!" Eric shouted out into the forest with no response but the birds chirping in the distance. "This must all just be a wierd dream. Hunh.. I'll wake up soon next to my wife and go to that awful job again. No big deal"
Suddenly, the voice started speaking again.
"Warning: Infection detected. Current stage of the infection: Stage one. Recommended action: Find Ghu'la leaf and mix with Jasperald blood and swallow."
"What..? Ghu'la leaf? Jasperald blood? What kind of drink did i have last night? What a wierd dr.." Eric was interrupted by a severe burn like pain in his arm. "AAAGH!" He screamed. "What the hell?!" He uttered before screaming out in pain again. It went on for 30 seconds until it laid off. "Okay" Eric said. He looked at his left arm and it has big red marks all over it. "Dream or not, that was painful as hell."
"Alright whatever. I'll play it out while i wait for the moment i wake up."
He takes a look around to find a direction he should go in.
"What way should i go..?"
The robotic voice answered him. "Strongly recommend to head north. Source of water detected 2 kilometers from current location."
Eric was shocked. Does the voice listen and hear him? Is there someone watching him?
"Yeah okay but how do i know where north is?"
Nothing. "Ohwell." Suddenly, a white bright light beamed from the sky.
"Marker placed. Source of water has been marked."
"What the..?" Eric said to himself in confusion.
"That is pretty cool." He said. He started to head towards the beam into the jungle, unknowing of the dangers and trials ahead. He has no idea of where he is. All he knows is, he has an unknown infection and he needs to stay alive.
