Beep beep beep
The alarm clock is so loud I flinch and I get up and turn it off, I go back and lay in bed and lay there for a couple more minutes, my room is not big but not small, I can walk from one wall to the other one in 4 big steps. I have a cute white desk with a little lamp on top. my bed is in the corner and it has cute red silk cheats my mom bought for me, there's a small brown carpet on the floor and a really big window next to my desk. Next to that a door to my own bathroom. I put the alarm clock for 6:30 but I only need to leave the house at 9, I really wanted to not be late at this job, I need this job. For my family's sake.
I get dressed and put on a yellow Summer dress and low heels, I look in the mirror and brush my shoulder length curly dark red hair, and I put makeup around my hazel big eyes.
I go downstairs to make some scrambled eggs and leave the house and walk slowly to the bus stop. I'm about 2 hours early but my new book can solve that. I bought the book "a love message" by Esther forkash.
I'm on chapter 9 and I'm already addicted! I read until the bus gets there. I drive for 1,5 hours when I get out at my stop, the bus driver says: "why are you stopping here? No one ever does, be careful, don't get missing there"
I thank him for his concern but I leave the bus fast and I walk on a Long brown sandy path for 5 minutes and when I see we're it leads to my mouth falls open, I see a huge house, it's so big the sun can hide behind it, it has a yellow skin and blue windows. The front door is black, I walk towards it and knock 3 times.
The door opens.
"Janet! You came! What a doll you are! I'm Angela, we talked on the phone 2 days ago when you saw the ad in the paper, come in il make you some tea!"
"Your house is really really lovely" I say shyly
We walk through a huge hall with beautifull decoration and we sit down in the kitchen, it's double the size of the hall and it's just a beauty. "Here's your tea darling, so you must have some questions about the job"
I was staring at the house and felt embarrassed when she sees me so I answer quickly and say:" yes in the ad it said someone for cleaning, so what exactly do I do?"
"You sleep here for 5 nights and you can go home in the weekend and you cook meals for me and my husband and and you clean the kitchen and you scrub floors and you walk out dog lacy, everything clear honey? Ok I got to run to my husband he's waiting for me in the garden so I will see u soon, u can leave at 6 pm today to go and get your clothes and you can come back and sleep here so in that closet will be everything u need and pleas stay out of the second room on floor 3 that one is clean enough, goodbye darling"
And than she walked out.
I am a little suprised, she is such a fast talker, I feel nervous, I hope I don't screw this job up like all the other ones.
After 8 hours of cooking and cleaning I'm outside walking Lacey, she is a very cute dog, a German Shepard.
When I hear screaming from the window: "HOW DARE YOU LEAVE THE ROOM?! ME AND MY YOUR DAD GIVE YOU EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY NEED, GET BACK INSIDE NOW!"
I shiver with the sound of Angela's voice, I had no idea her voice could be so loud and scary, I never heard anyone screaming like this, this kind of sound is so loud and scary I want to cry.
I see Angela's husband sitting outside so there is someone else in the house, and she said your father so it must be her son or daughter, and it must be in the room she told me not to clean!
I hear a sound in the kitchen so I walk in and untie Lacey and I see Angela sitting and eating so I say:" I didn't clean a room on floor 2 yet so il do that now"
She nods. I go to floor 3 instead of 2, I put my ear against the door the screaming came from. I hear someone sobbing so I knock. I don't hear anyone responding so I knock again. "Since when do you knock?!" I open the door and see a guy around my age, 19 years old sitting on a bed, holding a book in his hand, he has big green eyes and he looks at me and whispers: "how did you get in here?"
I answer:"I heard some yelling so I guess I wanted to see what's going on and if everyone was ok?"
He suddenly stared at me in a mean way and hissed: "could you get your big fat butt out of my room? And get your ugly nose out of my business let me read now and get out!"
I look at him surprised and I look at the Title of his book and surprisingly we were both reading "a love message" by Esther forkash because he had it in his hands. I closed the door fast.
And I wondered what the hell was going in this house.
