One Vacation

Chapter Four

         Holding a glass of wine, Jun look intently at Ming's picture. Yes, he forgot about her when he's with Yerin but he will still remember her when his alone like this. His phone rang disturbing him for thinking about Ming. He groaned and look at the caller, it's his private investigator.

(Hello Sir. Good evening.) said the other line.

"Any news? " he ask. The investigator sigh and told him what he found.

(The accident involving Miss Ming, Sir. I found out that a car hit her because of a couple fighting and when the girl suddenly took over. The boy push her and the that's when the girl saw Miss Ming's car coming to their way. I still didn't found the boy where he is but he has an alias, they call him V.)

"The girl? "

(Nowhere to be found Sir. I don't know if she died because her hospital record is gone. )

"Okay. Thank you. "

(Your welcome Sir.)

The line went off after that. His phone rings again but this time it's Yerin who's calling. A smile slowly appeared in his lips as he answered the call.

"Hello Yennie. "

(Hi. Are you busy?)

"No. Why? "

(Can I ask again? )

"What is it? "

(Is it possible to love someone who you just met in a short period of time?)

"Love at first sight? "

(Sort of. Maybe? )

"I don't know."

(Oh. Is that so. Last question.)

"Yeah? "

(Will you catch me if I fall?)

       He went silent, his mind went blank and he can't even open up his lips. He stayed still, then he saw the call already end.

"Jun?." He just look at Louise, still thinking on what Yerin said. Is she serious? Or is she okay? Does she meant it literary or she meant another thing? There's many questions running in his mind.

"Do you like Yerin? "

That question drag him out of his deep thoughts.

"I love Ming." that's the only words he can say.

"I didn't ask if you love her. Your too obvious. " Louise rolled her eyes.

"Louise, no one can replace Ming in my heart. And I will never forget her."

"There's a room for the past Jun. I didn't say you'll forget and replace her. You just need to open up again and let Yerin in. I know you like her, and she likes you too. "

He can't say something immediately to denied Louise's accused, yet he can't bring himself up to agree either. There's  something holding him back, that's for sure.

So when he finally gathered up his thoughts, still he denied and said,
"I don't. "

"You can't fool me. I'm your best friend and cousin. I saw how you smile, laugh and look at Yerin. It's how you look at Ming when she's still alive. Move on Jun, let Ming rest in peace."

He just stayed silent the whole time. Louise is right.

"Let go of the past and live at the present for your future. Before its too late "

He was left alone in the kitchen, the words Louise said are drowning him into deep thoughts. Because he can't deny the fact that he did starting to like her or better say, his falling.
