Four

"Jai it's him." I stuttered.

"What? Who?" Jai said crossing his eyebrows at me.

I quickly pointed as Luke stood outside.

"Mia. It can't." He said before turning his head and freezing at the sight of him.

"Luke." I screamed getting off the

sofa.

I jumped off the sofa and Ran over to Luke. My eyes widened as I got closer to him noticing every detail of his body.

His built physique and dark features. I mean of course he looked different it had been almost a year.

"Mia wait." Luke said.

Everything slowed right down at that point.

His strong Australian accent hitting my ears.

He put his arms out so I couldn't touch him.

"Luke what is happening?" I said trying to hold in my tears both from shock and worry.

"I'm dead Mia." He said putting his head down.

"No Luke please." I said breaking out and crying.

"I have two months and three weeks." He breathed.

Both me and Jai looked at eachother and back to Luke. Confused by what he had just said.

"I have two months and three weeks. Well til I'm gone." He said licking at his lower lip.

"No. This can't be right. This can't be happening. Luke. Please tell me this is some sick joke." I cried running my hands through my hair.

"There must be someway to get out of this." Jai said pacing the room.

"There is." Luke said not giving me or Jai one look whilst he spoke.

"One way. You have to find me." He said scratching at his upper arm nervously.

I looked at him. I pointed at him as if he was stupid.

"No not me. The other me. There is another me out there. Let's say the other half of me that's dead. Every dead person has a year to live and find themselves. Well people who haven't been buried or cremated. But the only way they can do this is with the undead." He said slowly looking at us.

Me and Jai looked again at eachother knowing we were the only people that could help him.

We were still in that dream state.

My eyes became scared. I hated that place and well I had found a way to not have to go there.

But well I didn't know when I was but I tried my best not even to get myself in there.

I bit my lower lip.

"If it's what I have to do to get you back I'll do anything." I said nodding.

"Mia, that's not all. In the end you'll have to kill this me." Luke gulped as I took a step away from him. Almost tripping under my own feet.

"What?" I questioned.

"I'm not Luke, well I am but well It's not easy to explain. But it's what you'll have to do." He breathed.

I looked at him and nodded.

He was back.
