It's after an event when my boyfriend for five years now, asked me to dress in something nice, but not fancy.

I finally picky a floral dress that went to about mid thigh and some Toms. I put on light make up and curled my hair.

As soon as I finished, I hear a knock at the door.

I went to the door and find Nash on the other side wearing kakis and a blue button up shirt with grey vans. Casual.

"Ready babe?" He asked, sounding a bit nervous.

"Yup! let's go" I closed the door the my hotel room and we walked down the hall with our finger intertwined.

"Nash, the elevator is at the other end of the hall"

"I know"

"Then why are we going towards the stairs?"

"Because, I'm taking you to the rooftop!" he looked over at me and smiled.

When we got to the door of stairs, we started to walk up, with me in the front and Nash behind me with his hand on my back.

I'm so glad we were in the 6th floor so we only had to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get to the top.

We finally got to the top and Nash comes in front of me to open the door to the roof.

As soon as it's reviled, I automatically gasp at the the amazing scenery in front of my eyes.

"Nash!" I say in awe. "How did you get the hotel people to let you do this?"

In front of me was a rooftop with lights around the edge, making it look cozy yet romantic. A table set in the middle for two. Soft music in the background.

It was perfect.

The view was a plus, too.

"It took a while, but it worked" he winked at me. "Do you like it?"

"I love it! It's absolutely amazing. Thank you so much!"
I lean up and give him a 10 second lasting kiss the pull away.

"But why the sudden need to do this?" I ask, still not very sure why he wanted to take me on a date.

"That, my wonderful girlfriend, is for me to know and for you to find out" he says then gives me a peck on the lips.

"Shall we eat?" he says after he pulls away.

"We shall" I give him a light smile.

It may have looked fancy, but the food did not go with the venue. We had pizza and I loved it. It was casual

We talked and laughed the hole time. It was just beautiful.

"So, you want to know why I did this?" Nash ask, with a nerves look in his eyes

"Yeah"

"Rebecca, we have been dating for five years and you have made those year, the best years of my life. You made me realized what it feels like to love someone with all my heart. You made me realize that you're all that matters to me. I love you and want to be with you for the rest of my life. So, Brooke. Will. You. Marry. Me?"

Right now Nash is next to me, down on one knee, holding out a box with the most beautiful ring ever. And as for me, I have tears streaming down my face.

"YES! NASH! Yes" I screamed and jumped into his arms and kissed him passionately.

We pulled away and he put the right on my left finger.

"I love you" he tells me

"I love you too"

Fun fact: The ring goes on the left hand because it has a vain that's connected to the heart.
