Never Forget

"WHOOO DID THIIIS!? WHO DARES TO SOIL MY HEAD WITH THIS, PORK COW!?"

Your eyes rapidly open. You raise your torso up and look at the tv screen.

Oh, you rub your eye, the show is still running?

You pick up the controller from the desk and check the clock on the tv screen, it's 3:50 PM. 

You get up from the couch and stretch both of your arms up and slowly put them down. Your mouth feels dry, you smack your mouth and head to the kitchen. As you walk towards the kitchen you look at the guest room, you slowly turn your head forward.

Some cocoa would be great, you thought, looking at the kitchen counter.

You arrive and slam both of your hands down at the counter, you look around at the cabinets and drawers. Your cheeks clench with your cheekbones giving a neutral expression breathing in through the nose and out, you then walk to a drawer behind the counter and pull it out grabbing a small cocoa powder bag.

"Well then, let's get it started, " you said with a calm and geared up tone.

After a while of searching, cooking and mixing you're finally done, you take a look at the warm brown liquid in the saucepan, you feel the warmth hitting your face and you stood there for a while. You walk to a cabinet and grab a mug and about to close the cabinet door you, but you stop, you open the door and grab another mug with your other hand and place them on the counter and close the cabinet door. You walk to another drawer, pull it out and you grab a ladle and close the drawer. You place the curved end in the hot cocoa inclined and pick up the cocoa, you pour it in the mugs carefully. Later you pour back some of the cocoa left in the paddle and put it in the dishwasher.

You grab the two mugs and turn around, you hear a swinging sound. Your eyes locks on the direction of the sound and you see the guest door open and no other than Shimmer standing in the opening looking at you. She's rubs her eyes walking to the counter.

"I-i made some for you," you said handing over the mug with hot cocoa.

"Oh... thanks," she says.

She slowly grabs the handle with her left hand, lifts it up hand lays the right hand on the mug. You grab yours, you blow and take a quick little sip of it you look at the mug filled with hot cocoa impatiently and put it down back on the counter. You notice Shimmers been looking down at the cocoa for a little while, she stares down emotionlessly at it. It's silent.

"Hey, you know you can talk to me," you said with a concerned tone breaking the silence.

"Can i, ask you something?" she asks with a low tone in her voice.

"Sure," you answered.

She raises her head, lays the mug on the counter with her hands still on it and looks you in the eye, "Can you..." she stops for a second, "Not tell anybody about this? P-please?"

Your eyes widen, you're about to say something, but Shimmer abrupt you.

"If so, can you also pretend we never met?"

You have no words. She looks away in embarrassment. You clench your right fist hard and release it. 

"But, I want this to stop... I can't allow this to happen..." You say frustrated.

"It has nothing to do with you..." she says.

"Seeing you suffer like this... I really can't" you try not to raise your voice and keep calm, "I don't even know for how long this a have been going on. I don't even know why!"

Shimmer breaks the eye contact and looks downwards at the cocoa.

"I really want to help you," you said finally managing to calm yourself down and lower your voice.

"Then please, do me that favor,"she said with a little shaky tone in her voice.

You straighten up breath in titling your head a little backwards through your knows and out titling your head a little forward, you face her having your eyes completely locked at her, and you speak out.

"No," you said to her with a straight voice as if you were a king denying a someone from living.

She looks at you, she looked like she wanted to cry, but tried so hard to hold it inside. 

"P-please..." she said with a shaky voice. It was as she were almost begging, "I... can't..."

This felt like the last scenario you two had with each other. 

"Sorry... I won't change my mind..." you said looking down.
