Darkness blanketed the tall trees of the park and the moon shone bright overhead, contrasting the black night.

"Dark times are coming." whispered a deep voice from the shadows. "You two are the only ones who can stop it."

"I don't understand. Why us?" a soft, feminine voice questioned. "I mean, we've never met before, and for all we know, we could live hundreds of miles away!"

"I agree." a third voice said, belonging to a boy. "Why do we have to this? I don't think I can."

"I am not the one who chose this destiny for you. I am just the messenger. But I do approve of this decision. You must wake now. This is all a dream. But remember: you are our only hopes. Do not forget."

"But how can I dream?" the boy asked. "I'm not even ali-"

"If it's all a dream, then why should we believe you? This probably isn't even real!"

"You must hurry. We are wasting time! Goodbye and good luck to both of you."
