Hospital Rush

Joe and Cody sat outside, next to a tree. Without saying anything, Cody stood up and walked towards the base. It had lots of branches that were low down. He grasped onto one and pulled himself up.

"Cody, be careful!" Joe stood as well, rushing over to the three, where Cody was almost halfway up. For his age, he was very fast. "I'll be fine!" He hauled himself up onto a branch that looked slightly thinner than the others.

"I'm coming up too!" Joe pulled himself up, and they eventually got next to eachother. Cody grinned before rushing up. "Last one to the top is a rotten egg!"

"Cody, don't fall! That's really high!"

The six year old just looked down on his brother. "Your just scared!"

"Come here Now! I'll show you who's scared!" Joe hurried to catch up, but a crack caught his attention. Cody was pulling on a branch that was way too thin. "Cody stop! Your gonna-"

Before he could say anything, the branch beneath his brother broke, and as he fell past him, he got knocked off balance and fell to the ground as well.

Joe lay dazed, before sitting up, practically unscathed apart from a gash running down his leg. "That was kinda fun! Right Cody?"

No reply.

"Cody?"

He turned to his brother, who was laying on his side, sniffling. "Get up Cody!" Joe pulled his brother up. "Get off of me, it hurts!" Cody yelled, pushing his brother away with his left arm. His right arm lay, as he couldn't move it. "I'll get Mommy!" Joe ran off.

"Mommy!"

"Yes Joe- goodness, what happened to you?!"

"I'm fine, but Cody's hurt!"

Without saying anything, Joe darted off back to Cody. Poseidon And Rasmus caught on and came after him and Cerebia.

That's where they found Cody, in the same position as before. "Cody!" Cerebia yelled, rushing towards her son. Rasmus asked Joe what happened. "Me and Cody were climbing the tree, and he fell and I fell with him..." Joe said.

"Well, no more climbing trees for both of you." Poseidon frowned as Cerebia stood up. "It looks like it's broken, if not badly dislocated. We should take him to the hospital."

Poseidon nodded. "Rasmus, you stay here with Joe. Me and Cerebia will take Cody."

"No! I need to go with him!" Joe yelled. "Fine, fine. Your gash is deep anyway, you may need stitches."

Cody did end up breaking his arm. Joe got his leg stitched up, and was fine. Cody got a cast (blue, of course) and was pretty happy about it. But that's what made Cody harbour a huge fear of heights.
