Chapter One

Dear Diary,

I wake every morning with the sun shining on my face. I wake every morning hearing the birds singing. I wake every morning with my best friend on the other side of my room. I wake every morning with the same song as before stuck in my head. Everything is still the same.

"Shit, my alarm didn't go off!" I exclaim as I sit up from my bed.

I jump out and run to my closet, grabbing my school uniform then I run into my bathroom. I hop in the shower and quickly wash my hair then brush my teeth and get dressed. I run out of the bathroom and into the dining room, with my hair a mess and no makeup on.

"Ritsuka's still home, isn't she?" I ask Mom, Dad, and Maria.

"Yes, she's currently making breakfast, honey." Mom answers then I sigh in relief.

"My alarm didn't go off again." I tell her then I sit down at the table.

"We really need to get you a new alarm clock before you start getting to school late." Dad comments and I nod as I sit down across from him.

"I agree with you." I tell him.

The home phone then begins to ring then Ritsuka walks in to grab it then I stand up.

"I got the phone, you can go finish making breakfast." I tell her.

She smiles at me and trots back into the kitchen to finish making breakfast. I grab the home phone and put it up to my ear.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Good morning, Trinity-san." Lindo answers then I chuckle.

"For you it would be 'good evening', wouldn't it?" I ask him and he chuckles as well.

"Yes, yes it would." Lindo agrees and I smile. "Are you getting ready for school?" He asks me and I nod.

"Yes, I am. My alarm didn't go off again, so I was rushing this morning." I tell him and I hear Yuko cackling on the other side of the phone. "Is that Yuko laughing?!" I ask Lindo.

"He finds it funny that you rush every time your alarm doesn't go off." Lindo says and I roll my eyes.

"I'll give you to Maria now because I don't want to hear Yuko's stupid laugh anymore." I tell Lindo then I give the phone to Maria.

Ritsuka serves breakfast then I eat as fast as I could then I stand up and put my shoes on. Maria puts a new little bag in mine and Ritsuka's lockets then they hug each other goodbye. Then I run to Mom and Dad and each give them a hug and kiss on the cheek. 

Ritsuka and I then leave the house for school and she sings her song that she sings every morning on her way to school, while I just listen to her voice.

Her and I have lived together for twelve years. Her mom was about to get evicted from their house, but Maria and my mom have been friends for a while, so Maria, Ritsuka, and Lindo have lived with us ever since.

I'm the youngest child in my family and the only girl, meaning I'm my dad's favorite child. I'm kidding, I really don't know who's the favorite in my family. My mom loves all of us the same, while Dad gives all of his kids different amounts of love.

He favors Shuji a little bit because he's more grown up and is more responsible, plus he's the oldest and the one we rely on a lot. He favors Yuko because he can make anyone laugh and has a different sense of style. And he favors me because I'm his little girl and we look a lot alike. My mom always calls me the female version of my dad.

We both have black hair with a strip of hair that's longer than the others, the same color eyes, very pale skin, he has a mole above his lip while mine is on my cheek, and we have very similar body shapes. What I'm meaning is that we're both pretty skinny and have long limbs, but my mom and I are only similar in body types since we're both girls.
