2 years had come and gone. I had gotten used to being the Spider-Man and had upgraded my suit again to this suit based off the first Superior Spider-Man suit from Amazing Spider-Man #700. My Spider-Tracers are now able to transmit GPS signals to me and I can now shoot slam webbing at people to incapacitate them. Slam webbing basically being a very tightly wound ball of webbing that hits like a shotgun slug. Although now, after being Spider-Man for so long it...it actually got easy. The criminals are all scared of me because of the slam webbing. So now crime in new york has dropped significantly. Plus, the police force has been bulked up with new tech to make them more effective.
Not only that, but being an assistant for 2 year is actually getting boring too. Granted, I do test out newer technology to make sure it works but that's few and far between. I voiced my concerns to Mr. Parker. "Mr. Parker, this has gotten boring," I said. He looked back at me and nodded. "Yeah, it has been a slow 2 years, hasn't it?" Peter said as he got a phone call. "Hello? Oh, Bruce. Good to hear from you again. How are things in Gotham? Oh, that bad?" Peter asked as he kept talking to the apparent "Bruce" over the phone. "Yeah, actually I think I have someone who could help. Yeah, I'll send him over. Ok, talk to you soon," Peter said as he hung up the phone. "So uh...who was that?" I asked suspiciously. "Oh, just Bruce Wayne" Peter said. "Bruce Wayne, the billionaire of Gotham City and owner of Wayne Enterprises?" I asked in shock. "Yep. His father helped mine out before I never saw my parents again and had to move in with Aunt May," Peter explained. "So you guys are basically like family?" I asked in confusion. "In a way, yeah. Nothing much though. Just good friends that can rely on each other," Peter said. Just good friends, huh? I guess I'll run with that.
So I guess I'm being transferred to Gotham City. Which I guess is good? I mean, there is the chance that I'll get maimed by brutal...wait I'm Spider-Man so I can handle myself. I started packing my stuff, then a thought occurred to me. I would have to go around and detach all of my Spider-Tracers from New York City. So I thought my way out of this by making a device that'll call all the Spider-Tracers back to me. A Spider-Beacon if you will, and activated it. After waiting about 5 minutes I had my Spider-Tracers coming back to me and I decided to store them in a mason jar. They don't take much space and I know that for Gotham I'll need a lot more of these scattered around the city. Now I'm mostly packed up and ready to go.
My briefcase is all packed with my essentials. Some food for the trip, some water to drink, my Spider-Man suit and my Spider-Tracers in case I need them. Given, it's not much but I can get some other stuff in Gotham when I get there. I went to Mr. Parker's office and shook his hand. "Mr. Parker, it was an honor working with you. I hope we can see each other again soon," I said in earnest. "We'll be in touch. Keep being amazing, Spider-Man," Peter said as I walked to the door. "You know, traffic might be a bit much. Why not just swing across the city to Gotham?" Peter said, giving me the idea. I dropped my briefcase, put my Spider-Man suit on and jumped out the window. Before I got too far out the window, I webbed my briefcase to me and started swinging. A new world awaited me just down the Hudson River.
