True Custom

there is
a little town
known as paniwala village
why do they call this town
paniwala village?
because they easily believe
everything they hear and see
that is their custom

one afternoon
a stranger
went to the village
had a big rucksack
pulled out something inside
and displayed his business
a lana it is a gasoline or petrol
a medicinal aromatic oil

the people heard

started to approach

not to believe and to test if its true

custom means
a traditional widely accepted way of behaving
or doing something that is specific
to a particular society, places, or time

here in our country we
easily embraced the less
from the best
we don't care about
the facts from fictions
if you know what I mean

if we don't settle for less
we investigate
we find proof
we test if its really the best

I could remember before
I watched on TV
an albularyo raped a girl
after she was oiled on or lana
and I saw and heard how
the albularyo prayed
and I know from The Bible
its not from God

do we really settle for less?
don't we care to investigate?
