Being in the army was difficult, to begin with. Being an army medic and surgeon was even harder. Being the only human where I am stationed is probably the hardest thing in the world. Most of the people there didn't like me because I was human. The werewolf, vampires, witches, and warlocks didn't take me seriously at all at first. Until they realised I would do anything for them. Humans weren't very happy about the takeover, but when only 30% of the population is actually human you don't get a lot of say. I didn't want a mate for that reason I got rid of my scent, but touch would break that. If my mate touched me even if it was just to brush past me he would notice. I was crossing my fingers that I didn't have a mate, unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
