Tom is a good guy
Tom helps everyone
Tom goes where he is needed
Tom is paid in only half arsed smilesBut deep down Tom is not happy
Tom helps you, you and every other “you”
and All you do is take, take and take
You don’t notice how much he gives up for youOne day Tom is out helping someone that needs him
but you feel like you need him more
So you call Tom and tell him that you need him
Tom apologizes and instead of letting it go
You push him further downYou insult him
You provoke him
You forget that
Tom is human tooYou go on social media
You air it all out for the whole word to know
how much anger and hatred you feel
how Tom is incompetent
how Tom is worthlessSo that night as you bundle up in bed
Tom sits in his own room,
crying
Tom thinks about his life
Tom thinks of the way you made him feelThe next day you call Tom
He doesn’t pick up
You call 37 times
He still doesn’t pick up
You think he is hidingAgain you go on social media
You leave ambiguous hints
to all your followers
to all your fake friends
Degrading Tom and how he doesn’t deserve
someone as “perfect” as yourselfIt’s been a whole day
Tom still hasn’t called
its 10:11pm
and there’s a knock on the door
you get upThe police escort you away
into the car
down a familiar set of roads
your mind all a while
buzzingYou enter his doorway
and there he swings
Tom
with a spray painted sign saying
I placed my worth in your arms
In helping you all
But my death is what you wanted all along
