Zuko's twin

Chapter 12

I was in my room jumping around. I was in my kimono for the wedding and my hair had been done and everything. Well, the wedding had to be put on hold for a little bit because of important stuff Zuko and I had to do with Aang and rest of the gang. Well, a little bit was a tiny bit of an understatement. We had to put it off for a few years but honestly in those years Cody and I had to grow a lot from where we had been. Zuko also hadn't really wanted us to marry so young either and Cody wanted to respect Zuko's wishes due to him being the older twin of course. I was now officially twenty-one. Cody and I had been upset sure, but we did what we had to do before ourselves and that's what brought the fire nation back into honor. Katara put her hands on my shoulders to stop me from bouncing.

"Calm down you're going to shake your hair out of its holder." Katara said sitting me on my bed. I just glanced up at her nervously.

"But I'm nervous." I murmured. 

"You'll be fine." She said. I nodded and that's when Zuko came in and smiled. I smiled up at him.

"Ready?" He asked. I shook my head.

"No," I said. He looked at me shocked. 

"She's really nervous." Katara explained. I nodded and sighed. Zuko came over to me and placed his hands on my shoulders. 

"Mom is outside." He told me. My eyes widened.

"Let her in!" I squealed. Yes, we had found our mother in the outlying earth kingdom and brought her home. It had been a long over-due family reunion. She came in after Zuko said something to her outside. She hugged me tightly before pulling back and giving me the once over. She cupped my face and smiled. 

"You look lovely dear." She said. 

"Thank you.... but I'm really nervous." I murmured. 

"Everyone is when you get married." She said. I nodded and Zuko rolled his eyes. 

"Oh, suck it up Zuko someday you are going to marry to." I said. 

"Don't worry Zuko you'll be like your sister." Mom said. I giggled and Zuko shook his head. 

"Alright sweetie it's time." Mom said. I nodded and walked out and joined Cody up in front of everyone. I looked up at Cody and after the fire sage some things Cody leaned down and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around him tightly and smiled in the kiss. I pulled back and Zuko rolled his eyes as he wrapped the scroll again. I smiled up at Cody my eyes twinkling and Zuko sighed. 

"Great now I'm going to have to deal with the lovey dovey stuff." He said. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Oh, shut it Zuko." I smiled. Then we turned towards the people and bowed as they clapped. My god I loved right now. After they finished clapping and everything we sat down and started to eat. I smiled and sat down next to Cody. We were having dinner and everything and that's when Aang walked in and came up to us. Aang bowed traditionally. 

"Sorry we're late Appa was tired." Aang said. I shrugged.

"It's alright!" I smiled. 

"Sit down and eat with us!" Cody chuckled as he wrapped his arm around my waist. I smiled and nodded. He joined us at the table next to Katara and I smiled as we joked around. Team Avatar was fully here now. I smiled at them and then that's when I looked at Zuko who was talking to Aang about something, and it seemed to be getting tense. 

"Hey guys. It's a wedding will you put the world on hold for a day." I murmured to them putting a hand on each shoulder. 

"There are some problems in the United Republic with the underground market." Zuko said. I looked at him.
