Jackie felt small under the gaze of Jasper, who had been staring at her for what seemed like forever.

She was still spooked from the near encounter with the Guards, and Rocco was still in her small hands, half asleep. She gazed at him right back, the moment felt like days.

Then, Jasper  spoke.

"Who.. who are you?" He asked, his eyes wide.

Jackie looked confused. "What do you mean?"

"You're not a Leo."

"I'm not?"

Jasper reached out so suddenly Jackie jerked back a bit, and caused him to pause, and go silent. He stayed in the posistion for a while, his hand outstretched, then he slowly lowered it.

"I– you're wearing blue." said Jasper after a moments silence. "You're a Libra."

Jackie opened her mouth to reply, then closed it, how could she have been so stupid? Of course if she was seen in different Clans territories she would get caught!

Jackie stood there, silent for a good minute, staring up at him, feeling a lump form in her throat.

Then she ran. She shoulders Jasper out of the way and ran out of the alleyway, clutching Rocco to her chest. Her heart was beating at a rapid pace, but she ran into the woods until she was engulfed in darkness, then Jackie stopped.

She breathed heavily, leaning against a tree. She wasn't used to running. Jackie was more of a introverted headphones type of person, she never liked sports, especially running.

She slid down the tree, sitting on the ground and set Rocco down on the ground, who just rolled over, asleep. She eventually caught her breath, and looked around the tree to make sure Jasper hadn't followed her. Then she took her cardigan off, leaving her in just a white T-shirt, and her blue jeans.

Jackie sat there for a long time, in the small clearing, watching Rocco snore.

She drifted off, the world closing in around her, her head lolling to the side, the last thing she saw was the moon hanging in the sky.

Jackie awoke to growling.

It was quiet at first, a low rumbling that could be mistaken for a car, then it got closer, more viscous, more threatening.

She opened her eyes, lifting her head to look around, blinking to adjust her eyes to the darkness, wondering what in the world could be making the noise.

Then Jackie saw two pairs of red glowing eyes. Then two more pairs, they appeared like rapid fire, all around her, and she stood up quickly, pulling Rocco up too.

The red eyes slowly approached her, and Jackie stayed against the tree, praying and hoping that they didn't notice her.

But of course, they did.

One of the pairs of eyes leaped out of the shadows, right in front of Jackie. The wolf was huge, probably as tall as Jackie herself, foaming at the mouth, it's lip curled back in a snarl. Jackie was frozen with fear.

The wolves appeared one by one around her, and Jackie stood the for a moment, frozen, then did what she did best.

She ran.
