She once was so joyful
Seven years old and invincible
Smiling faces a new friend
At least she thought
An open door a closed mind
Lies and trickery
She plays along not knowing
The poison had blossomed
Until she wakes up
The poison spreads
Shooting through her mind and heart
Delivering nothing but agony and despair
Poisonous drops coming from her eyes
No where to go
No where to hide
She runs
Hiding the poison from everyone
She acts like it's alright
Fake smiles forced laughs
Poison drops one after the other
Eating her mind
She can't take it anymore
She panics seeking immediate relief
Shoving the poison down
Down away where no one can see
Years go by
Little does she know
The poison sits waiting
Growing stronger
Then it attacks
Her world freezes
The poison is back
Pain everywhere
She tried to ignore it
But there's a war going on
She's losing. poison taking control
But she's strong
Determined to win
She's done hiding
She finally accepts it
She drips poison for days
Until finally
After years
She has won the war
She watched miraculously
The poison drips from her eyes
Drop after drop until in runs pure
She sits there in disbelief
I never though the day would come...
