"harry dear, you go first," my mum says as she holds out our Floo powder to harry.
"er...i dont really know how...." he stammers, but ron finishes it with "harry's never traveled by Floo powder mum."
"very well then, ron you go first and show harry." ron walks up to mum and takes a handful of the gray, ashlike powder, steps into our chimney and says "diagon alley!" and is taken away.
after ron, it was harry, and i could see the fear in his eyes. "diagonally!" he shouts, and i let out a little snigger.
"di-did he just say 'diagonally'?" "yes indeed he did." my mum says, letting a smile out.
"very well then, ginny, off you go now." i walk to my mother and grab a handful of the powder, and say "diagon alley," my voice being the last thing i heard before being covered in flames, and everything around me messed up a bit.

"let's go into Flourish and Blotts then," mum leads us to the store front of the book shop, helping me spot the name "Gilderoy Lockhart" before entering the store.
"mums got a bit of a crush on ol' Lockhart" ron whispered to harry, making him smile a bit. "oh i do not ronald!" mum says as she flattens down her hair, red with embarrassment. we grab our books and get ready to see Lockhart in person, which made mum very frightened.
"mummy! mummy, can i please, please get a new diary!" i squeal as i see the pretty books on the shelf's, assorted with yellow and purple and all sorts of colors. "ginny dear, i'm sorry but we don't have the extra money, what with five out of seven of you still in school, buying five sets of schoolbooks is enough, and with Gilderoy Lockhart's books being expensive and whatnot..." mum didn't stop rambling, so she didn't see me get upset about not getting the diary. the last diary i owned was a gift from my mums first cousin, which meant i wouldn't get a new one until my birthday or christmas.

"bloody hell dad, keep doing that and malfoy'll stop bugging you about your muggle obsession!" fred exclaimed, clearly fascinated with what dad had just done. we had just left Flourish and Blotts, all of us with armfuls of books, cauldrons, quills, ink bottles, parchment, just anything you can think of!
we set off back to the burrow, though in a big hurry because mum wanted to make dinner. once we got home, i went to my room to pack my trunk for september 1st, even though it was august 4th, i was just too excited!
i unwrapped everything of the brown parchment and looked at it all. even though my robes were second hand, they were still my robes, so i loved them. i looked through all of my books, flipping through the pages. i had one book left, so i grabbed it and flipped through it, but sat up a little bit more when i saw that the pages were completely blank.
the back was no help either, just containing the name "Tom M. Riddle" that looked very worn, like it was 40 years old. i put it in my trunk anyway though, because my mum used our money to buy it and i didn't want it to go to waste.
