Derek's phone started to ring and he answered it. He looked at me and mouthed 'Scott'. I nodded.

They talked but I didn't listen but I watched at what Peter was doing. He was looking at some documents on his computer about the Kanima.

''I know what you are.'' Peter told me. I frowned.

''What do you mean?'' I asked.

''I might have been dead for a few months but I know things about you.'' He said.

''Yeah, 'cause you were hunting me for months!'' I snapped. ''Stalker.'' I muttered underneath my breath

''I'm not stalking you.'' He said. ''It's Derek who does that.'' I rolled my eyes. If he don't stop talking, I'm going to rip his head off! ''Anyway, you're an Alpha, also Derek's mate. But I know you have something else but I don't know what it is.''

I rolled my eyes. Maybe Deaton was right after all. I might be a Seer like he talked about because everyone are telling me that I have something different.

Derek placed one of his hand down on the table in front of me as he stood behind me.

''They say he's in some kind of transparent casing made from the venom coming out of his claws.'' Derek informed us.

''That sounds officially terrifying.'' Peter mumbled.

''And disgusting.'' I added.

''They also say he's starting to move.'' Derek told us as he moved the phone away from his ear.

''Okay, look, I think I found something.'' Peter told us as he leaned to read what was on the computer's screen. Derek leaned over my shoulder to look at the screen and my heart was beating like a crazy. ''Looks like what you're seeing from Jackson is just the Kanima's beta shape.''

''Meaning what?'' Derek asked. ''It can turn into something bigger?''

Peter clicked on a picture and our eyes got big as we saw the picture. ''Bigger and badder.'' Peter mumbled.

''He's turning into that.'' Derek blurted a little bit shocked. Peter nodded. ''That has wings.''

''I can see that.'' Peter huffed out.

''It looks scary.'' I told them.

Derek brought the phone to his ear as he said, ''Scott bring him to us.''

''Look someone actually made an animation of it, maybe it's less frightening if we...'' He trailed off and clicked on the video. The weird Kanima in the video made a weird sound and I jumped back and bumped into Derek. Peter quickly shut the computer screen. ''Nope. Not at all.'' Trust me that video was scary! I swear if you watch it, you're gonna pee in your pants! ''You should probably meet them halfway.'' Derek nodded and I grabbed into his hand as we hurried out of the room.

''Scott, get him out of there now. Go now.'' Derek ordered as he hung up and put his phone back in his pocket.

''Derek we need Lydia.'' Peter told him as we came to the door.

''Look, there's no time for...'' Derek hissed and Peter held up his finger, signaling him to be quiet.

''That's the problem.'' Peter told him. ''We're rushing. We're moving too fast. And while everybody knows that a moving target is harder to hit, here we are, racing into Gerard's crosshairs.''

''If I get the chance to kill Jackson, I'm taking it.'' Derek told him and I looked up at him.

''Whoa, hold on. I thought we were supposed to help him not kill him.'' I said.
