Waking up to the sound of birds chirping on her window sill, Lily smiled to herself as she pulled herself away from the covers and stood up from her bed. Lily, in no hurry, made her way to her bathroom and did her morning ritual which was to cleanse herself with a very refreshing bath. Fifteen minutes later, she went out clad in a towel around her body and with damp hair which she tried to dry with a towel. She then went to her closet and took out her school uniform which she ironed last night. Lily got dressed in a couple of minutes looking all ready to go to school. She stood by the mirror beside her study table and looked at herself like a goon. She combed her hair. She did not bother putting on make up since she never really liked the idea of putting even a slight amount of mascara on her lashes in just going to school. She was there to learn and not to retouch her smudged make up every now and then. She just sprayed herself a generous amount of her favorite strawberry perfume before practically skipping outside her room towards the stairs of their house.

She was in a good mood.

After having a hearty meal for her breakfast with her parents and elder sisters, she kissed everyone goodbye on their cheeks then began her daily exercise which was walking to her school.

Since she started her senior year, Lily decided that it would be better if she'd just walk to her school since it was only a five-minute walk distance from their neighborhood. Her parents didn't protest to her suggestion since they trusted their daughter enough that Lily will be careful while walking on the side of the road.

Glancing at her wrist watch, Lily saw that she was still fifteen minutes early for her first class and so the smile she'd been wearing since she left her house just grew wider.

She was definitely in a good mood.

Upon entering the room for her History class and without much care as to who was inside the classroom, she spread her arms in the air and closed her eyes as she greeted everyone a good morning.

"Gooood morning!" Lily said as she twirled around, still with her arms spread on her both sides as if she was in a theatrical play.

She then hugged herself and anticipated for a couple of good morning's from her classmates but she was more than mortified when she opened her eyes and saw that no one was around yet except for her and a fellow senior who was a boy she recognized from the other section next to hers. It was the boy who always had earphones plugged on his ears. The one she always thought who never uttered a word to anybody.

Suddenly she felt all her blood drain from her system and all she wanted to do was run and never come back.

No, she didn't feel herself blush. She actually felt cold and pale. She felt like she would faint any moment right now.

The boy obviously witnessed the lovely entrance she did but judging from the blank stare he gave her made Lily doubt that he actually heard her come in. And that made everything more embarrassing than it already was. Lily couldn't even move an inch from where she stood because of the unpleasant feeling she had in the pit of her stomach.

How could she just barge in like that without checking who was inside the room? Lily suddenly wanted to pull out all her hair.

This was one of those rare days where she wanted to be eaten by a giant troll or be taken by a huge hole from the ground. She was just beyond mortified and embarrassed.

She remained wide-eyed and static as she gulped a few lumps on her throat and tried to come up with a less embarrassing way of getting herself out of the mess she put herself.

And the fact that the boy just kept on looking at her as if awaiting for her next act only made Lily struggle more in coming up with a few words to say. She was having a verbal diarrhea.
